Well no you are wrong in this situation cock boy! if it was a Bride, Recaro, Momo or Racetech etc then you would be right but its not so as I said before it will come down to individual WOF and or certifiers view of the rule
Read it again "known and reputable aftermarket brand" hahahaha KW may be knowen a little bit but is far from a reputable brand and it is actualy cheap chinese stuff and is not aproved by FIA and many NZ race classes! And this is before you see if the factory seatbelt even works properly with the seat anyway.

Well according to that post above about VIRM, I will just fit it and see if it passes the WOF. The WOF guy may pass if they accept KW as "known"" - if it fails I'll just remove it and wait til I do more to the car then get a cert. Cheers.

It should fail being non adjustable even a 4 door car has to have an adjustable back to suit other drivers

OPin THIS situation I would fit the seat and take the car to the WOF place you use. If the rails just bolt on to the floor and the seat just bolts to to the rails then I can't see a MECHANICAL or real safety issue. So really it sounds like a matter of what the paperwork says Go in and see them. Explain what you havve done and with car under their nose ask if they will or wont issue a wof.
