Bargain of the year, well done.

dasfi, Nov 7, 8:06pm
Ha ha must have stuffed up the buynow lol

tuttyclan, Nov 7, 8:09pm
How come the 'Buy Now' was so cheap.

dasfi, Nov 7, 8:12pm
Guess they stuffed it up, dont think it will all go through tho

mcscottwgtn, Nov 7, 8:18pm
Good luck. Getting the bus over would be more expensive than the car.

dasfi, Nov 7, 8:21pm
already had the email, No sale thanks, could have been polite about it at least,

intrade, Nov 7, 8:22pm
yea the car is not exactly the best thing but would have been a ultra bargain for 2.20 lol

tuttyclan, Nov 7, 8:44pm
Surely if you bought it through Buy Now or even $1 reserve then the seller has to go through with it,pretty sure its a legal binding contract.

subs1, Nov 7, 8:44pm
If it's a dollar reserve and you offered over that , don't they have to sell at that price, being the highest bidder !

purple666, Nov 7, 8:50pm
Honest mistake, don't have to sell at that price.

purple666, Nov 7, 9:19pm
If you make an honest mistake and the buyer knows that it is a mistake then no contract. And by starting this thread the buyer showed that he knew it was a mistake.

pnh4, Nov 7, 10:34pm
& should have left the auction alone, then jimma wouldnt have actually believed OP (0:

n1smo_gtir, Nov 8, 6:16am
So is this a new thing on tm, sell n if it does fetch price you expect, pull out and claim it a genuine mistake.

chebry, Nov 8, 6:21am
Thought that sale was binding if you screw up the price its the sellers problem this is an auction site if your car only makes $2 too sad its sold

saxman99, Nov 8, 6:23am
Nothing new about it, no.

countrypete, Nov 8, 6:41am
Geez guys, it was an honest mistake, any fool can see that. The seller has no legal obligation whatsoever to go through with the deal. The buyer knows that and did not expect to actually own the car for that amount.

n1smo_gtir, Nov 8, 7:03am
that could be said about any one dollar reserve deals then. Greatv way to attract attention to your listing.

nightboss, Nov 8, 7:06am
I think $2.20 is a good price.

n1smo_gtir, Nov 8, 7:11am
Not to put decimal point after 2200 is one mistake, 220 another, and 22 yet another and one more for not checking again, that's quite a few mistakes there.

phillip.weston, Nov 8, 8:35am
kms jumped 100,000 from the first to the second listing also.

countrypete, Nov 8, 9:36am
Lookat your keyboard. The . is right next to the 2 so it's an easy mistake. And only one mistake.

thecoolshop, Nov 8, 10:02am
Good score, ha ha.

On my other trademe account I got a $1000 amplifier that was listed at $1 reserve but had a buy now of a $1 too (mistake) and I thought what the hell, I'll press buy now for a laugh. Guess what! The bloody thing turned up!

I tried to offer more for it and even said re-list it because I thought it was a mistake but the joker said no, fairs fair.

I recall not long ago this happen on a BMW or a Merc from a car yard and they went through with the sale. I read it in the paper.

patiki1, Nov 8, 10:51am
Make sure you give them bad feedback.

carstauranga001, Nov 8, 11:00am
That was a well orchestrated publisity stunt. They got fantastic media coverage which was worth way more than the car. Good on them.

carstauranga001, Nov 8, 11:01am
Not worth it as they will give the buyer back feedback too.
