or buy a rental property! One makes money over time, the other puts a wide ass grin on your face everytime you go for a drive.

You only live once right!

My wife and I just finished a major clean up of a rental (we do that kinda thing) Tenants just walked out and left two dogs in the place.Everything was trashed and we even had to pull the 2 year old carpet up.4 huge skips of household items. The place really just needs dozed now.Buy the car.

Having just got rid of a rental, go the ZO6. You can't take money with you:-)

tantric5, Nov 20, 7:16pm
exactly.I have a nice home that suits me.a great job where Im self employed, no kids.

some people think Im having a mid life crisis or being frivolous, rather than looking long term, ie more property.

They dont get the joy from owning/driving a nice car.

I will follow my heart.car wins

Havn't you got enough houses already!

berg, Nov 20, 7:25pm
Ex workmate has a green and tan ZO6 convertible. Lovely thing and not what I'd call a "mid life crisis" car. More a collectors car.

Perhaps you should pick your tenants a little better, or pay someone to do it.

gunhand, Nov 20, 7:29pm
NO, we cleaned it out for the owner. And theres no way in hell any tenant would do that to any place I was renting.

tantric5, Nov 20, 7:41pm
thanks for the link.

I could see if I could hook up one of those.be a lot more costlier than the non special edition one no doubt

and 50 or so extra horses!

I would consider the C6 Z06. The C5 shape goes back to 1997 and is starting to look seriously dated.
Personally, I'm a fan of the 2010+ Camaro for much less money and less than 1 sec slower than the Z06 to 100k.
Have owned five 2010-2012 Camaro's and can tell you they are fantastic and will turn more heads than a C5 corvette any day.

Just be careful of the clutch - not sure how strong they are :)

only buy a rental if you can buy mortgage free. otherise you might end up in a morgegee auction when newzealand declears bancrupcy . teachers and cartakers from scools are already not paid no more means 2 thingseither complet half*its run the country or the state has no funds and is close to bancrupt.

timmo1, Nov 21, 7:14am
I'd buy neither :) I'd rather an S2000 and invest the difference in something other than property :)

greta29, Nov 21, 7:16am
buy whatever makes you happy and enjoy life

splinter67, Nov 21, 7:17am
dude stick to mechanical advice at least thats better than this drivel
op buy the car will be a lot less hassle and a lot more fun

bellky, Nov 21, 7:28am
Whatever dud. Their advice is as good as yours - better most of the time.

splinter67, Nov 21, 7:30am
go buy some flashlube it could help you

supernova2, Nov 21, 8:16am
IMHO any purchase (even if it gives you a bad social disease) has to be a better idea that buying rental property.Given the choice I'd even buy a Multipla rather than a rental.

dr.doolittle, Nov 21, 10:04am
Get a C4, C5 AND the rental.
C5 is rated 345-350hp. You'll hardly miss any more.

carstauranga001, Nov 21, 11:02am
Sorry but IMO sports cars should not be painted silver.

dr.doolittle, Nov 21, 11:33am
I dont know, a Merc Gull wing looks terrible in anything other than silver. O'h & who'd paint a Delorean!
