Ok I have been told by a few people that it just needs a longer release bearing (which they don't care if their wrong as I'm the one that will have to pull it all apart again) anybody that has read through the thread and can understand the issue, WOULD a longer release bearing solve this! I have my doubts.

A longer release bearing will NOt give you more travel at the slave pushrod which is what you need to get your clutch to release.

hay quarter. After reading your post about having to preload the pressure plate to get it all to work. What you need is a smaller dia slave cylinder. Longer realease bearing would only work if you had too much free play. like I did.

Think I may have an answer, Need a bigger diameter bearing so its not so close to the ends of the fingers of the pressure plate. Thank you everyone

Found a guy that did this and it blew the slave.

You need the bearing to be the same diameter and shape as whatever is the correct bearing for the pressure plate you are useing.Your problem then is to get such a bearing that will fit onto your bearing carrier.

Yeah got it all as a kit. Some guys I know had the same trouble with the Dellows kit.

When did this become the Spartacus thread!

gadgit3, Nov 26, 5:12am
That guy didn't know how to adjust free play then. the only way you'll blow the slave in this set up is to allow the piston to push out the end of the slave.

I take it uv checked that slave push rod is not extending to far causing it at full to break seal suck air!
And rod slave should be able to turn with fingers just, two mill clearance to much
