With any luck, now Fiat are running the show they might re-release the PT Cruiser with some wild Italian horses under the bonnet and some properly thought out clever design work in the rest of it.
So far all that's going on though is some badge engineering going both ways, that said, they have not really had enough time to release anything designed from scratch since the buyup.
I would love to know what those crazy Italian's are up to.

Sister had one and hated it. She said it was gutless, and the steering lock was hopeless to the point she could hardly get the thing into the supermarket car parks!

Do not touch one.my daughter "HAD to HAVE " one, it cost her almost $3000 to fit new cam belt, it never stopped playing, it was an expensive heap of junk.

You have a hotrod, and you are asking questions about a pt cruiser! And hotrodder worth his salt would set it on fire!

PT - great car, comfortable to travel in, solid make (hence no 'boy racer' acceleration) I have had my 03 Touring for 3 years and love it. K&N air filter, BORLA catback pipes which sing to me. and it can really take off when I want it to. Cambelt, water pump and all other bits needed at same time = $1500 main dealer. I polish with Autoglym and my almost 10 year old PT looks like new. I have added so much bling it really shines - so many haters, just 'cos they are different. I bet most of the knockers on this thread have never even sat in one. These cars will become a collectors item - believe me!

Friend of ours in America says they are called "Florida Cars". Widows who move to Florida and buy one because " they are like what we had when we were first married"

Yep. 'Collect' enough and one day you will be able to build one half decent one.
