most Hotrod fans would agree if they had some performance

they have build quality issues - their powertrain isnt special & their handeling is only bearly average

they have excellent cabin space

^ thats their only good point tbh

wrong2, Jan 2, 3:40pm
spare me

the only thing in their favour compared to other people movers is that they have decent interior space

in every other regard they are bearly average

He's right! Just this morning I was thinking of starting a 'Cars That Make You Look Like a Colossal Gaylord' collection. It seems my time has come.

Every Carmaker has that one model that was an Epic Fail. This (in my opinion) was Chryslers most epic.

I was very excited for this car when they were doing the whole concept and sneaky press releases. What they eventually released was a pile of pooh.
It is more girly than a Mazda MX5 in pink with eyelashes. Such a shame.

Anyone remember the pictures of the new Holden Torrie they proposed! Can't wait for it, but then again could end up to be Holdens Epic Fail.

Chrysler engineers were working according to Mercedes Benz theory - meaning the project wasnt finished when the takeover occured & the PT they released didnt reflect exactly what Chrysler wanted to do

edangus, Jan 2, 5:29pm
Well at least they did a reasonable job of the 300 and the Crossfire

wrong2, Jan 2, 5:30pm
says you

another person might say the 300C is the most ugly sedan of the modern era

edangus, Jan 2, 6:44pm
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder

wrong2, Jan 2, 6:45pm
i bet you say that to all PT mockers

by_hdt, Jan 3, 9:41am
and the crossfire looks like a dog having a poo.

Don't be so sure they can't be rodded. Mate has one with a Toyota V8, turbo and manual box and its downright outrageous. Lots of work gone into it to get it right

john163, Dec 30, 1:22pm
ok Im looking at a pt cruiser some say ugly, some say cool, I like them.
what problems have you come across with these cars & what the cost to run 40ks a day

austingtir, Dec 30, 1:29pm
Not many if any say they are cool. The main problem is its a pt cruiser and they are pure shit.

brokebloke1, Dec 30, 1:34pm
we hired one in the states for 3 days . biggest piece of yank cr*p I have ever driven, heavy gutless (2 litre I think ) uneconmical cost us heaps to run around town.
even most americans dont like them ( maybe they would if they came with a V8)

dunedin_moto, Dec 30, 1:38pm
About 700 hours labour involved in the timing belt.
A slight exaggeration.but it really is a prick of a job.

sirdoug, Dec 30, 1:43pm
Had a review in a car magazine (can remember which one) and described as the most dangerous car, Forget the cool look and buy something else more practical .

theram1, Dec 30, 1:47pm
looks can be deceiving, like when you get the bird you picked up at the pub home and take off her push up bra.

john163, Dec 30, 1:57pm
hahahaha

john163, Dec 30, 2:09pm
Ive had a drive of quite a few most feel gutless in the auto but thats a solinoid pack you buy from the US one I drove yeaterday had a chip kit solonid pack drove great responsive when needed

brokebloke1, Dec 30, 2:12pm

gusthe1, Dec 30, 3:08pm
park them next to a PT cruiser convertible and they dont look so ugly.

the-lada-dude, Dec 30, 3:20pm

tgray, Dec 30, 5:08pm
Prowler!

master-trader, Dec 30, 5:12pm
Are we still talking about a car or John when he's at the pub !

pebbles61, Dec 30, 5:19pm
They really are a marmite car aren't they, you either love 'em or hate 'em!

I think they had a cool idea in making a retro looking car, but the problem is that they completely cocked it up! lol
