No sign of proper traffic control, no sign of traffic management plan, irate spectator waving at cars trying to slow them down,,,,,,,,,,,all while the cyclists break the law running a stop sign just round a blind corner. Right, who's for running a motor sport event, on an open road, in amongst the traffic, while braking traffic laws! What gives the Lycra clad brigade the right to think its OK for them!

Thing is, I don't overly mind if its a properly run, properly signed, properly traffic controlled bike race (even though I've seen them run on state highways in stupid conditions without any thought to traffic flow or road user safety) but a throw together race without any form of traffic control is plain stupid. Try that with a car club next time you want to run a street sprint.

Saw lycra poser get pulled over today. He was at lights opposite me, 5-0 sitting beside me behind a van.
Way was clear, but light was red, lycra poser steams over the intersection, 5-0 puts on his lights and siren and pulls him over.
Many LOL's were had.

Central hawkes bay did this as well on Tuesday night at 7pm and they would of finished at 8pm with no lights on bikes too. Blind corners and hills and do a u turn f***k right in front of you! Should've run the b#### over take the whole road as well!
