hardly revenue collecting when you were speeding

frytime, Feb 6, 3:34pm
didn't the new cameras take a few pics with incorrect speed! sure i read a while ago one snaped a powerpole for speeding (in the ground)

meathead_timaru, Feb 6, 3:38pm
Yes, quite telling that.

edangus, Feb 6, 3:39pm
Excellent

meathead_timaru, Feb 6, 3:41pm
Parked car registration plate visible under speeding truck - wrongly attributed speeding to parked car.

meathead_timaru, Feb 6, 3:44pm
Sure makes you wonder how many chumps get caught out by these 'errors' simply because of their total unfounded and unquestioning faith in the system.

So are all the ones having a moan about "you did it, pay up PAY UP!" going to shut it now!

Musta been a really high standing truck!Considering the camera is in a van of some sort and thus its probable height above the road surface would be at least a metre and a half.Hmmm

meathead_timaru, Feb 6, 11:11pm
Depends on the road and location of the camera van. I can even think of one spot where they park them about 10m off the road (that's 10m perpendicular) that's up an access road for a cell tower that is elevated by about 4m too. Most off the road spots in rural areas would be lower than the road itself due to camber and seal.
