I hear ya Kaz, but as you know, people don't buy a car every day, and I can understand an expectation on behalf of the public to expect a car that's advertised for sale, to actually be for sale. They are not privy to the time delays mentioned with regards to withdrawing ads etc, so are rightly a bit miffed when they have invested their time, and sometimes their heart on a car that is supposed to be there but are now told is gone, contrary to the advertisement.
Yes, a phone call would be ideal, but the public are not always well versed on the appropriate etiquette when it comes to buying and selling cars and can understand the other side of the ledger here.

Tgray, can I test drive the Camaro convertible please - maybe for a week or two!

Hey toby Don't get me wrong I have no issue with wanting to catch the "stealer" out.I know the dodgy tricks some people use to hide issues with their cars.I have not a tiny issue with people just not thinking about calling.
What I have an issue with is people not accepting personal responsibility for their own actions.
"I drove for an hour to get here" shouted at me mixed in with profanity is in my book unacceptable when the car sold less than an hour ago or even a few hours ago.

"appropriate etiquette" ! I would think more like common sense.
