Generally has two L's youre an import from the states, duh. A front heavy car will spin no matter what throttle.

Its best to lower the rear suspension, to counter this & balance the weight out.

pnh4, Mar 18, 7:30pm
LVV cert' required, for these mods' but.

shadow60, Mar 18, 7:45pm
You are not a New Zealander then!. You should go home where it will be safer for you.

outbidyou2, Mar 18, 7:47pm
pnh4 is off his meds again.

sr2, Mar 18, 8:06pm
Don't feed the Troll mate. (Some mothers do have 'em).

shadow60, Mar 18, 8:08pm
You agreed that New Zealanders were bad drivers! That says you are either a bad driver or not a New Zealander . which is it!

nightboss, Mar 18, 8:14pm
Hi shadow60, how you doin!
Is it still raining where you live!
Roads still slippery!

shadow60, Mar 18, 8:17pm
Did not read like a "generalization" to me, more a statement of fact. But you take what ever spin you want on it. You usually do!

shadow60, Mar 18, 8:19pm
Yup, persisting down and the roads and pavements are very slippery. Some people will have to watch where they tread . if we got a frost now, they would be walking on "Thin Ice".

nightboss, Mar 18, 8:29pm
Where I am on the North Shore we are getting a strong wind from the west, blowing like you would not believe.

Must have been a broken sewer from yesterday's earthquake because the stench from Waitakere is unbearable tonight.

Have done my duty and reported the stench to the powers that fix these things.

Assured me they will have it fixed by the morning.

shadow60, Mar 18, 8:32pm
I know what you mean about bad smells, they have to be reported immediately. Generally the councils are very slow to react. I have a spray that masks smells for a wee while, but inevitably they come back smelling like they have messed themselves.

Lowering does very little to move the weight, however lowering the centre of gravity can affect the cornering ability.

nightboss, Mar 18, 9:09pm
So going by that "lowering the centre of gravity" theory.two female passengers of equal weight but differing build, which is safer.

"DeeDee" has tiny hips but is very top heavy and "Bootie" can only just fit in the narrow seat and you can easily see past her at intersections.

Driving around in the wet you are safer with "Bootie" in your car than with "DeeDee".

sr2, Mar 18, 9:18pm
I know what you mean mate; I live in Milford and when there's a S/W blowing as much as it may smell like Lake Rosedale getting ripe it's usually those damn Westies over the Greenhithe bridge forgetting the underarm deodorant after the weekly shower with the cousin!

outbidyou2, Mar 18, 9:49pm

sr2, Mar 18, 9:55pm
Wonderful; Frank Spencer has to be an all time favourite! And to think he ended up staring in Phantom of the Opera.

treachug, Mar 19, 5:11am
wow.wish we had those powers that fix those things down here in chch.2+ years on & we still have lots of broken pipes etc.lol

pnh4, Mar 19, 6:00am
Hey "outbidyou2" its time to get up sweety.

trogedon, Mar 19, 7:33am
"Must have been a broken sewer from yesterday's earthquake because the stench from" the North Shore "is unbearable tonight."

It smells of Soy Lattes and aging BMWs.

nightboss, Mar 19, 7:48am
To this poster and any other "active" poster, my comment was about a single source of effluent, not about a whole area.

As that "stench" has now been fixed I intend to relax and enjoy the cleaner environment around here.

justcallmestu, Mar 19, 8:14am
And ,. thanks are due to nightboss for his efforts in cleaning up that problem.
.
.well done that man.

trogedon, Mar 19, 8:33am
Sorry, just a pathetic jibe but its unlikely to have been a stench from Waitakere. What would it be! (ignoring the other poster's lame comment).

nightboss, Mar 19, 9:09am
Thanks - but I can only take credit for my own actions, it took the efforts of many members to sort this out.

I would not have got anywhere without others taking back their community, rising up and being counted, so I thank the TM community (especially in TMD) and the TM senior staff member that acted decisively.

Cheers.
