sounds like a lot of work an a 12v compressor would not be cheap but hey its your car an i think it would be legal so you will be fine

There is no law against it, if you get a compressor, get a decent one,and a decent air tank. They are really popular in America, check some out on line, just googleair horns for cars.

either get those standard air horn compressor or if you really wanna scare the crap out out of people, get one of those compressors used for air bags.

The compressor is no problems to get hands on, partner is welder at trucking firm so in the know. It does seem like abit of work but I'd just be supplying the beers (bf will do the actual work lol).
My major concern was WOF and attention from police etc if it is illegal. Don't want to go to trouble to rig it to only have to pull it out.

if you did not wire to horn switch and used separate switch you will have no problems.

So it is what I thought, can't run it as main but have it as switch. I definitely don't want it as main but wanted the ability to have it when "required".

easy get a truck horn twin tube 12v go to an hoses shop like enzed etc brass hose fittingsa small 3kg gas tankfit fittings + tire valve fittingfill up tank at any garage with compressed air and now drive round town till tank is empty find garage fill up and repeat as mamy times till you get told off thats how we spent are weekends you could almost see the person jump out of there skin when a tiny old mini would sneek up an nail the horn they didnt know were to run

done the oil trick a few times two thats makes me laugh, the best one was get a friend to pull the spark plug leads of to check spark, with the old cooper leads(non supressed leads)boy they would jump and have a sore are for days

Forget the compressor just use a dive tank with 3000psi in it, lasts ages and she blows.
damn you, Ive been wanting to update they pussy horn that the car has for a while, and id almost forgotten about it. But I don't really wanna spend $140 on a horn at this stage.
