Thanks intrade. 3 weeks is what the man said & I can't do much about that. I'll hang on to that link for future ref. Doesn't have a head Gasket listed for my model but it will be handy.

Have you thought of making a copper one, annealing it, and using something like this. http://gasgacinch.com/home/products/

Hi Tony. Lot of work for what could be a fizzer.
Intrade that is a picture of the identical gasket I would say, but I guess it's still in Italy!

tony9, Jan 9, 11:58am
Mace Engineering is the place I would go to either get one made, or to ask who in NZ still does make them. But this time of year, I cannot see one being made within 3 weeks.

Ok Intrade. I see now I didn't follow thru to the next page. Have sent off an enquiry to Lombardini/Kholar. See what they come up with.
elect 70. Good thinking. I think I can still call on contacts with the Alvis car Club if the import track doesn't work.
tony9. Thanks also for the contact.
About 20 yrs ago we had an International truck with a Scania motor. 2 cylinders per head if I remember rightly. Had a head gasket made for it & it was ridiculously easy & not expensive. That was then & this is now.

Thanks Alfred. Another name to Monday's list.
Yes intrade. Had realised about the times. We'll see. Not sure if I want to live in your dreams. ABeautiful old bus But a seriously ugly prototype. The engine in a sports car!.3 speed diff maybe & a Roadranger box. Ferrari will be trembling in their shoes.

attitudedesignz, Jan 9, 8:06pm
Yep, Shuk are my go to guys for odd ball gaskets.

richard112, Jan 10, 7:17am
Great leads. Thank you all. Find I keep returning to Intrade's dream. I now have this sort of E type Jag but smoother lines. Red of course. Hood down. Kerb parked outside a luxury hotel. Long cool blonde in a black dress enters from stage right, slithers into the driver's seat. Turns the key. A 6 litre 5 cylinder diesel springs to life. Idling at 200 revs & shaking everything within a 200 metre radius as only they can.Priceless.

intrade, Jan 10, 7:31am
yea its funny fact is diesel where never fast untill electroniccrap made em fast, So it contradicts things butdreams are wierdand everything is possible in a dream.
