Depends which side of the fence you're sitting on as to your view of course. Many consumers want to screw you down to the very last penny for goods or services, no matter that the business has overheads and expenses to allow for. They don't care if the poor little self employed guy trying to make a buck ends up working for nothing and running at a loss. but as socram says, expect a premium wage or salary themselves.
Then on the business side though, there's making a fair profit, which is fine, but it's always possible to become a bit greedy too. Not to single out any one person or company, but if you find yourself with an almost total monopoly in a particular market, without any worthy competition to keep you honest, perhaps it's a little too easy to become a tad greedy. But as another poster said, until someone else comes along with a properly competitive answer, that's just how it is. I bet we'd all do the same if we had a niche business. Charge as much as possible until such time as someone else arrives on the scene who can offer an equally effective product or service at competitive prices, forcing you to improve your service or pricing to stay ahead. I'm no business expert, but that's how it works isn't it.
But when all's said and done, there are always other options and it's up to the consumer to find one that suits. If you don't like the price, or terms of one place, instead of complaining, find another solution you're happy with. Nobody forces you to use a certain advertising medium or pay for it. In this case for example, it costs nothing to park a car on the roadside with a sign on it. It'll probably sell eventually, but it will only get a tiny percentage of views compared to national exposure on a top rated website, so it might take longer.
Just my rather long winded 2c worth anyway.
