Maybe it was just an honest mistake, my daughter moved out 3 months ago and still gives this address out of habit at times.

OHH B##### --I agree wholeheartedly with this post ! Theres all sorts of reasons people split up. Theres all sorts of financial situations. The ins and outs of that have nothing to do with this thread.=or at least shouldn't Fact is you can't give a residential address you no longer live at as your place of residence. in simple terms its fraud. Where it does get complicated is if in fact it IS still her official residence and no mat prop orders are in place. Nowadays theres a legal requirement to provide PROOF of address. So she had to provide a bill of some sort in her name with the OP\s address. The issue from a financiers point of view is that if the finance was approved on the basis of home ownership then things get messy.

If I remember correctly, the personal addressed statement only needs to be within the last month or 2

Nahh mate--PROOF of address can be a few weeks old. But it has to be of your CURRENT residential address. You are legally required to be living at the address you give. Now you "could' move out the very next day after getting your car but at the time you have to be living there

Way to many assumptions here. She could have simply given it as a mailing address because she doesn't feel permanent where she is? Ask.
