Partial credit for omitting a space in a comment correcting grammar.

doglover2003, Aug 8, 2:04pm
U Ned 2 get out more

tgray, Aug 8, 3:13pm
I would suggest, unless you drive a diesel or have an interest in vehicles, many people would indeed struggle in the spelling of that particular word.
In the age of abbreviated texting and the like, it's no wonder spelling and grammar are being lost.

richardmayes, Aug 8, 3:14pm
Fordor Holdin?

rob_man, Aug 8, 3:29pm
I'm on Richard's side here. It must take a special kind of stupid to not spell the name of your car correctly when it's written all over it.

mals69, Aug 8, 3:47pm
Dare say most intelligent people can work out
what it was meant to be whether a car fan or not.
One or two dentist round here - "teeth pullers".

Do not think you a real car guy if you a grammar nazi - just
a pretender.

richardmayes, Aug 8, 4:55pm
Really? You can't be interested in the English language AND cars?

How many spelling mistakes is the MINIMUM for admission into the "real car guy" club?

dublo, Aug 9, 2:25pm
Amazing comments appearing on here, mostly in the early evenings - a great way to pass the time on the train home from work!

And spelling horrors are nothing new: in the 1930s FORD labelled their V8 sedans TUDOR (say it with an American accent) and FORDOR.

mals69, Aug 17, 9:07am
Our crew do not care if you can spell or not, we into enjoying
each others company.

kazbanz, Aug 17, 9:49am
Richard I have to admit at times I kan't spel gud.
Im staring at the frikkin screen knowing full well Ive spelt something wrong and the correct spelling just eludes me.In the end I have to rephrase what im posting to avoid that word.
utterly frustrating to say the least.

tgray, Aug 17, 11:27am
I open up another window and google the word.

mrfxit, Aug 17, 11:35am

melonhead1, Aug 17, 1:19pm
I'm under 40 and find myself struggling to spell at times when I used to be an excellent speller. Aging is a horrible thing.

daryl14, Aug 17, 1:25pm
Interesting, always wonderd about that so just had a quick goog.

Some people go to town in their bare feet and get declined entry to bars. That's not because I dress better than them, it's because they're not making the grade, and they don't even appear to be trying.

For there own safety i would think . If shoes make the man to you thats cool . What you think of gumboots then ?

mals69, Aug 18, 9:37am
One of the wonderful outcomes of the english language
is folk called Richard can also be called Dick.

richardmayes, Aug 18, 9:43am
An excellent invention. I have some myself.

richardmayes, Aug 18, 9:50am
As anyone's mates should.

But if this matter is of so little importance to you, why the four posts in this thread?

kazbanz, Aug 18, 10:21am
Another issue we have is that it sees there is no end to the choice of mobile devices you can use to access TM nowadays. Some with screens so small and keypads so miniscule I can't understand how anyone can use the buggers

richardmayes, Aug 18, 10:41am
That, and the TM messageboards are one of the least mobile-compatible websites I've seen.

About half the time, my phone won't even display the full width of the text fields.

elect70, Aug 18, 12:38pm
Last mobile i had i used a pen to dial , have enough trouble with standard keypad

mals69, Aug 18, 5:15pm
Dick to not let trivial people like you take the piss out of someone
so easy.
If you were at a barbecue with fellow car guys and a couple of the
blokes mispronounced would you correct them ?

farmerjohn, Aug 18, 6:19pm
Richard move to the front of the class, No Excuse for piss poor spelling,
IMO the culprits should be publicly stoned if found to commit this offensive act thrice, within one calendar month.

mals69, Sep 29, 7:00pm
Richard be no doubt into a good old fashioned hanging for poor spelling, poor chap probably just needs some friends.
