Ah huh. No one did try that and yet someone could've. I wasn't there but I've done similar things (and coped flack at times). I've spent years working with youth offenders (as many regulars in this Message Board know) and inside most aggressive adult male is a hurt little kid who needs a 'big person' to help them to know them what to do.

trogedon, Apr 27, 4:06pm
Agreed. In the last decade or so there has been a renewed interest and reverence for the ANZACs of old.

At a guess there were around 1000 people at our local dawn service, not a bad turnout for a population of just over 4000.

yjeva, Apr 27, 4:19pm
Maybe so, but I am referring to the impracticality of anybody trying to talk to them during those few minutes. As they have apologized they obviously listened to somebody later but at that particular moment it was simply not possible for anybody to talk to them.

Distrubing the last post to pull them up on their behavior would not have been respectful either, only to do it after the service. The noise was mostly made as the left, how exactly do you think people should have stopped moving bikes.

There are very very few if any ex servicemen or women living in town anyhow that you claim shoul have pulled them up on it. Its not somewhere you retire too, its too bloody cold but maybe you haven't spent a winter there. No one in uniform would have stepped above their station and acted indepenantly. The rest of the community is relatively small, many of them families of active service personel, most of them would not risk publically embarassing a spouse at "work" whatever the profession.

Very odd an ex service person calling members of the community who decided not to cause further disruption and be respectful of the service pussies. Your all class daryl14

Yep Thank you from all of us , those mongrel low life at Waioru really surprised me as they actually were up that time of the day. Total disrespectful cowards. l

You're being disrespectful by calling everyone on here pussies because we didn't attack gang members on sight. I have spent many years on the corner of a cenotaph with a rifle on ANZAC morning and I have never felt the need to shoot someone at a parade - and I have seen disrespectful behaviour before too - nor would I respect someone that thinks that is appropriate behaviour to start up a fight at a dawn parade either. If you can't rise above you are no better than they are. If you have a problem with those gang members go tell them. Don't come on here abusing us, pretty sure none of us were sitting on those bikes.

hfc2, Apr 27, 5:39pm
no fight I have spent 30 years at ANZAC services don't ,make me no hero. Those goons on their bikes were totally disrespectful to my Dad and Uncles, .

evanc16, Apr 27, 6:27pm
I served too, brother. I understand your anger but talking smack on TM and demanding people respect you makes you look foolish. Exercise some self discipline.

cyborg_nz, Apr 27, 6:31pm
I'll vouch for that I've been hit by wadding fired by an idiot

motorboy2011, Apr 27, 6:56pm
I'm glad no one had a go at them then and there. The publicly that it's been given has done them far more harm than someone sorting them out on the day.

howie69, Apr 27, 11:12pm
There is a lot of talk in Australia about it, even fellow Rebels are bagging these four idiots for the disrespect shown. As others have said a confrontation at or during the service is not the answer. Lets leave the book open and remember what these idiots have done. They are not representative of the wider Harley riding fraternity.

ian86, Apr 28, 3:29pm
I agree - I'm sure if they could take it back the would.

richardmayes, Feb 21, 11:42pm
Yet another reason why patched gang members need to be defined in law as a foreign invading army - to be dealt with by the armed forces, not the police. BOOM.
