Pretty bad. Very deliberate when & how they started up their bikes

Were? This was only yesterday so very very recent. To ignore & or forget this sort of behavior is exactly how those idiots can continue doing this sort of rubbish

This is when some clued up members of the public should step in and shut down the behaviour. Walk in front of them and stop them, or push their bikes over. Or tell them they are not welcome back in your town.
This is also what military guards are for. They should have stepped in and manhandled the thugs out of the way. Would anybody object if a few stray bullets ended up in a few legs or motorcycle tanks?
What would the military guards do if things turned nasty at Waitangi day? We were taught that we were there to defend the flag.
Too many pussies that won't step in and take action. Be ashamed of yourselves, anyone in Waiouru who stood by and did nothing.

A couple of threads in Opinions, one in general, an apology yesterday from the gang that was reported in the news, today on stuff. it's as old news as Labour losing the election.

They fire blanks not live rounds. What did you do to step in and stop it? What are you going to do about it now?

It's Waiouru, not Dodge City.

I think it is a good case of "They" should have done something about it. You know, the same "they" that should fix most ills in society

Just so ya know-blanks can still do a bit of damage.

"THEY" can do that . because some poor sod fought and died for their rights. ironic. as for daryl14 jumping in and pushing their bikes over. methinks someone has watched wild hogs too many times.

You pussies. you can't tell me there weren't enough serving and ex- military pers at the Anzac service in WAIOURU that couldn't sort out the behaviour of a few miscreants. I am also angered by some of the fat sacks of shit that felt they had the right to walk in the civic parade and then talk throughout the service, looking like they'd just fallen out of bed, greasy looking jeans and hair all over the place. There is no REAL respect for ANZAC anymore.

Considering what the numnuts did, a few threads on the day doesn't really mean this subject can be dropped already

A concerned person could've asked them politely to wait. Often it only takes one person to act for good. The Last Post could've been done again(after the second to Last Post) without them of course.

"we can ensure you this will not happen again in the future." Sadly this is the Centenary so a bit special in that regard.

Sadly, not only the people present would have been extremely upset but their forbears would have been too and deeply ashamed if they were still alive and had witnessed this appalling lack of decency. and some of those forbears would probably have been members of the Maori Battalion The gang members who did this and who identify as maori need a good dose of marae justice served on them by the members of their marae. wherever it is in NZ. As for the others in the group regardless of the ethnicity they think they belong to, to my mind, they belong to nothing. they are just feral. An apology is simply not enough, they need to do some civic service to show they actually mean it. If they can afford bikes of that value. regardless of how they somehow managed to have enough money to spend on such expensive machines and body gear, then they have plenty of money to each make a substantial donation to the local RSA. for starters.

Through my lifetime, I've known lots of "I'd tell im's" Funny how they're usually the last ones to step up when the shit hits the fan.

This cracks me up. Did you watch the clip? I can just imagine a person standing in front of all those revving bikes politely asking them to wait. Even with a loud hailer they would not be heard.

& the publicity just makes it worse . Best to ignore it as childish bikie behaviour .
bwg11,
Apr 27, 1:57pm
I don't even believe it was "childish bikie behavior" or intentional disrespect. They are just ignorant ferals which our PC/liberal society tolerates and allows to strut around in gang regaila, intimidate law abiding citizens and distribute drugs etc. Our society has too many bleeding heart liberals to support any legistalion to deal with the gangs. Rant over, you can tell me to go to "Opinion & Politics" if you like

I Hope they endure many months of "Police Harassment" whenever they are spotted out on the road.

And what are you doing about it?
xs1100,

exactly this, its not illegal and you can bet it would up the coffers but there is a certain risk factor to it. unlike yr normal joe average pay the fine citizen.
daryl14,

Why are you antagonising me? I served my country. I expect a bit more respect from joe blogs around this time of year. That is all. What more do you want from me? Should I go and sit in the corner and let you talk shit about me and my fellow servicemen? Fark that.
