Lots don't live to even have a "perception" and there are those unlucky enough to get in the way who may not be able to know what the "perception" is either.
Those who don't have any "perception of speed" frankly should not be allowed to drive. period.

Which track were you on Kaz?

I remember. about 20 years ago. I had a Group2 homologated RX Subaru that I used as a work car.
A lot of the driving was on metal back roads, and there was one link road that I often used in the Taupo Western Bays area, with a good straight in it. I noticed one day, that I was travelling at a fair clip along it, and thought at the time that it would be a good metal road to crack a ton on.

I can assure you that I never did it once.

Yep, my systems manager got caught on his way to do a emergency fix on a mainframe, lucky they got me as I was slowing down, 141mph = 226kmh. He got a big fine but kept his license, we had influential customers.

Herald today, biker clocked at 218kmh, only $500 fine and 3 months loss of licence bit soft

agree, I got a lot harsher penalty than that for quite a bit less, however he was supporting the legal system by bringing in a lawyer, judges likes like that, adds to their money-go-round
