If contact number is in it - I'd ring them (Business Card Matching Credit Card). Failing that a quick trip to the nearest arm of the law to hand it in.

I would do my best to find the owner. I once found a wallet in a pub toilet cubicle, handed it in to the office, it belonged to the bar manager, who thanked me, and , bought me a beer, then told me, it`s a pity that someone before me,had found it and took the $ 400 out and threw it in the cubicle. I felt, terrible,as though he thought i took it.

I Should see what i find on the beach early evening walking the dog , so far past 3 years -2 cell phones , an expensive backpack ,diigital watch & diamond ring, The cell phone batteries were flat so couldnt ring on them . Left notices at local dairy but no genuine takers , a few wanted the cell phones but couldnt give the right make /model . Eventually dumped the phones kept the rest still no takers . luckiest thing for me was as an apprentice I lost my pay packet but lady found it & handed it in to police , had my pay slip inside , the lady didnt leave any details .
