Had young lady come in this morning for us to look at her rear doors, we were busy so asked her to come in this afternoon, all good. Gets here, for 4 months now she hasn't been able to open the rear doors from the inside and has finally had enough of someone always having to get out to let the kids out. What could this problem be?
Well, lets just start with taking the kiddy lock off shell we.

Guess the handbook is in Japanese! Mind you, women and written instructions don't go.

sas777, Jun 17, 1:56pm
Depending on the age of the kids, this may have been a good thing.

hamhonda, Jun 17, 1:57pm
Racist! The car was a Hyundai so handbook would have been in Korean. Or more accurately Australian English

poppy62, Jun 17, 2:06pm
Would that be Aboriginal Australian English or Australian colonial convict English. Think Korean might be easier to decipher.

my partner was at her sisters job and couldn't get the keys out of the ignition and had all these people come and help, still no success and finally rings me and I tell her to put it in park problem solved. lol.

Bought a car off Kaz. Everything was going well for a few days untill I went to fill the tank.

Got in and tried to start the car. After much key twisting I couldn't get it to turn over so I pushed it off the busy forecourt.

Gave the dealer a ring and spoke to Mrs Kaz. I described the problem and her simple answer was "push in the clutch and hold it in while turning the key".

Silly me had been doing that without thinking for two days and had a brain fart about it at the petrol station.

So woman comes in and tells you the problem yet you could not put 2 and 2 together to work it out for her. had to tell her to come back so you could see the car? I had to go to 3 different tyre outfits yesterday to get a flat tyre repaired straight away as I had to get tyre back to job site an hour away so tradie could get home. Nobody makes the time anymore.

Its not racism it's SEXISM.

pdc1, Jun 17, 7:31pm
So if I get this right, woman comes in and says ???the back doors won??

solarboy, Jun 17, 8:39pm
I've never had any issues about checking out young ladies rear doors, automatic response really .

stevo2, Jun 18, 3:53am
How much did you charge for repair?

frytime, Jun 18, 3:58am
Or people that come in, my electric windows don't work. Only the drivers goes up and down.
Yup we can look at that for you, but are you sure the window lock is off?

bjmh, Jun 18, 1:27pm
a mate has a Daihatsu with manual gearbox, his missus drives their Commodore auto. she rings him the other day,she is trying to back the Daihatsu out of the drive. everytime she try's to select reverse all she gets is a grinding noise. he suggests she depress the clutch pedal first !

tamarillo, Jun 18, 2:52pm
Way I read it was that she came wanting her rear doors fixed, and asking her to come back seems entirely reasonable if you're busy. Then when she returned she described the problem.
Jeez, we are so quick to criticise!

tamarillo, Jun 18, 2:54pm
Poppy poppy poppy, you have this so wrong. It's blokes that don't read handbooks and instructions. This is a universally known fact and as such is not open to discussion or googling.

craigs_workshop, Jun 18, 3:02pm
what if you had never been taught that car doors have kiddy locks ?

its only easy once you know

poppy62, Jun 18, 3:41pm
Oh come on now T /Tom, My Mrs doesn't even know that most things come with an instruction manual. Men (well most) who can at least handle a screwdriver don't need to read the manuals. After all it's us males who invent and build things. Now! to back up my point. without you searching Google, Name for me 3 Inventions by women and I don't want accidental laboratory experiments as examples either. Good Luck.

The "Kindling Cracker" by 14yr old Ayla of Taranaki. Now manufactured in Auckland and exported to USA etc in the hundreds of thousands. There will be many others which I am sure others will know of.

rotormotor7, Jun 18, 9:00pm
Had a young girl who must have borrowed a bench seat ute to grab her chinese takeaways.
Came inside asking me if she can get some help as she cant release the handbrake. handle keeps spinning around. one if those pull stem jobbies under steering column. taught her the pull and twist technique to release. she did well. then showed her same technique on the handbrake. hehheh

course by then my wontons were cold.

poppy62, Jun 19, 6:58am
Hard going aye Mack! maybe the sum of most guys on here may get to 3 without Google, but I doubt it. The USA needs all the help they can get BTW because without a Kindling Cracker they'd be doomed, such is the plight of the Yanks.

Sure, your mum made you, but that doesn't mean everything made by a woman is a failure.
