One of the best conversions I saw done with a Chevette was the complete running gear, seats, dash etc from a Gemini chucked in. looked good, went well, was reliable and all round a good little car.

The traditional almost bolt in conversion was a 2.3 CF Bedford motor & box, basically a poor mans 2.3 twin cam Chevette rally car replica. Had a mate who made one some years back, we were all very surprised with the improvement a bit of power and torque (for those days) made to the humble "Shove-it".
