Correct , just as mine . Not much show getting ya key cut at ya local hardware without a key to copy to begin with .

According to your story at #22 some people who CUT keys don't seem to understand that 'a key is just a key'.

Oh so you think i need to be told how my key works when i have just explained it to the person cutting a key for me . Cool . I might have to unbolt the drivers seat to try find the transponder before the battery runs flat . This must be nice lady's hubby this morning before heading off to work to pump fuel , as NL would normally say hubby said .

If you wrap a transponder key in tinfoil, the car can't detect it. we do this occasionally at work when someone wants us to lock a key in a car, otherwise anyone can just walk up, push the button on the door to open the car, and the button on the dash to drive it away
