Fire and emergency New Zealand has recently banned the use of robinson helicopters for operational duties.

i.e. crew lifts, monsoon bucket duties or training.

Yes, flying these machines outside of their parameters also. I have seen a few of these flying heavy loads in marginal conditions at times. We Kiwis are very good at add on gear to a variety of machinery the manufacturer probably did not foresee or engineer their product for.

When I mean HUMAN error, I don't heap the cause on pilot error . It starts at the design stage , and works it way through material selection manufacturing etc
