Indicating

Indicator on left as well.
Hell, a made for NZ product should have the indicator on the right side of the steering wheel.
Since you use your left hand for gear changes, the right hand should be for indicating.
Since the indicating hand never has to leave the steering wheel anyway.

You have delusions of grandeur if you think anything other than a Trekka is a "made for NZ product".

Even that was half Skoda.

I have dual wired mine, with the original side lights coloured amber at the front (Tamiya clear amber paint did the trick) and fitted Mini headlamps with the built in sidelights. Added an extra lamp to the rear lights, so no outward changes from the 1956 original.

My point was more that other drivers don't look to the B pillar for trafficators, as they expect indicators to be on the rear of the car. They never grew up with trafficators and hand signals and window winders (or sliding windows in a Mini).

your idiotic thread got what it deserved . a laugh .

On the specs for my car there is.
X8N = National sales programme NewZealand.

Pleased that you read it all to make that conclusion

richardmayes, Sep 29, 8:08am
So that's 33 New Zealand drivers successfully re-educated - only another two million odd to go eh?

I like the ones my old Morrie Minor side valve had, just the arm [with light] that flicks out the side. Or better still if my memory serves me right our old farm truck had a long hinged arm that stuck way out the side & think you could make it point straight out or pull the hand up for a stop. Am i dreaming, anyone got a pic of those! .
Edit--that was easy, if the link works. Not sure how to put up a pic.

I don't know why you lot can't use ya brains!
If a Euro or Yank is coming towards you in fine conditions, and the wipers start going - They're turning left FFS!
If the wipers don't crank into life, they must be turning right at some stage.

We have a Mondeo and Camry and if you don't use one car for a while, and your thinking cap is not on, you're (I'm) sure to hit the wipers the first time. (clean windows though)

It would seem for them indicating correctly when leaving a roundabout is a punishable offence! (at least where I live)

That's a bloody good idea.
Bought a little A30 for the kids to go to school in years ago, and I spent some time making sure the trafficators worked properly. Couldn't really expect them to give the B-pillar a thump to make them work.
