Thank you for those figures. I haven't seen these facts mentioned amongst all the cries of doom and gloom and so all the time the ute is costing those who really need one bugger all. And isn't the reason they're topping the sales charts for years now because the fringe benefit tax makes them financially desirable and buyers save way more though that than the new 'hit' of $3000 costs them ? I 'm guessing the FBTax would've been dropped by now though but I've not seen it mentioned at all in all the wailing about the new tax disincentive.

Ford could be in trouble in NZ as they are so dependent on Ranger. In June, Ranger was 972 of 1272 total Ford sales compared to Hilux 632 of 2153 sales.

its not sheep mentality, its shitty government making people push forward vehicle replacement, I wasn't going to up- grade till next year but now I am forced to do it this year, I won't pay a cent more tax than i need to, also I was going to have a petrol replacement, but now I am going diesel, stuff anyone telling me what to do. Also the greenies are going to try to force people to buy fuel from the most greenie service stations, well guess what, I will be buying from the dirtiest one I can find. Its all unnecessary and now I see you can't get your hands on a toyota for more than 6 months (sold out), Heres something for you ute buyers Jeep has a new ute out, looks good in the flesh.
