Puts a whole new meaning on Carless Days, if anyone's old enuf to remember. Gonna loose sleep now & only read half of it. Did see more motorcycles so that's good. Oh hang on, will they be electric ones. Anyhoo, i'll be long gone by then. Got enough worry with "75 license coming up. Full locker around the roundabout like we used to do in my 36 Chev in "62, that'll impress him lol.
Biofules? oh man, those palm plantations strip the soil of nutrients to make fule out of veggie oil, they must know the whole shebang is a joke, its like the oil crash alarmist stuff from a while ago, theres heaps of oil and gas in the antarctic, build me a 36 chev without the transformer desighn they build those things with now, anyone who cant drive one shouldent be on the road anyway, bring back crashboxes, that will put a few back on pushbikes like they use to be.

Motorbikes & bicycles are so good when it’s raining, I don’t care if they are electric, they are just not practical
tygertung,
Jun 10, 7:40pm
Bullshit, only if you have shithouse clothes. I've ridden thousands of hours in the rain on bicycles and motorbikes and it is no problem as long as you have decent gear.

What we really need is ww3 to stop all this nonsense, there seems no other way.

When I use my car it is to go to work, 43 kms away for a 12 hour shift to go out for the evening, dressed up to go & purchase something. Otherwise I walk, none of the above are practical for me especially if raining.

There was a good video on whats going on the only Real thing i am absolut sure this guy got wrong is when he claimed people where paid to buy diesel. People where paid to scrap cars for new ones . They did buy diesel cause diesel are more efficient and was cheaper to run= why people did scrap old cars and got diesel in europe= why big marine tankers run on diesel and not petrol. Here is the video he explains a lot correctly apart from what i just said he got complete wrong https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeMZGICNSMg

You are a special case. Most people do not have a 43 km commute.

yea mines only 35 and plenty of other people doing the same.
I take my bike to work most of the time just because I can lane split past everyone but bikes are expensive to run and you still need to own a car

If you think the next world war would be like WW2, you are utterly delusional. Your chances of surviving a nuclear winter would be slim. And saying "What we really need is ww3" sounds a lot like wishing to me.

In the British classic world, the US safety rules and the California pollution rules have always been the thing enthusiasts love to hate, and the reason why the "Mk3" versions of so many beloved cars have ugly rubber bumpers, increased suspension height, de-tuned engines, etc etc.
Fortunately, the rest of the world outside of british manufacturers seems to have embraced the new design standards rather than sought work-arounds, and as a result a new Toyota Corolla will probably blow the doors off all but the most powerful of "sporty" cars from yesteryear. a modern V6 will drink less fuel than a classic 4 cylinder, and we see viral videos of people crashing Lamborghinis at high speed on the motorway and walking (or, at least, limping) away from it.
All of these new rules and regulations are pushing cars in the right direction (better/faster/safer/cleaner) but inevitably these come at the cost of killing off existing makes and models that we as car enthusiasts like.

For the ultimate in economical motorcycle comuting a 125 would be the way to go. Real cheap on fuel and just powerful enough to cruise at 100 Km/h. Of course it depends on how big you are. If you are real tall, a 125 might be slightly too small. But I like small bikes.
