Girlie calendars, those were the days. Forty odd years ago my kids saw my calendar in the workshop. They go running back to mum saying dad's got pictures of ladies with no clothes on. Mum goes out with a cigarette lighter and burns it. When I replaced it I had to explain to mum, touch that calendar, and there will be trouble.

Hi Mate! Hope all's well. My V8 is sitting in the garage waiting for the new (3years ago) electric pump to be fitted. haven't worked out how to get back off the ground once I've fall down to fit the pump. Thinking chainblock and rope around the neck may be the goer. Will have to practice holding my breath for 3mins.

I have a girlie calendar in my man cave. My mate that has a garage said it was given to him by a supplier. But so PC is the world, he can not even hang it in the dunny in case a customer might see it and have a hysterical attack. so he gave it to me.

Funny thing is seeing all the threads popping up with people claiming that EV will destroy the grid (they won't) or somehow EV will be worse for NZ or the world. They won't, but will reduce emissions.
Over and over, people who actually have EVs or work in the industry have to correct people when they bang on about supposed problems that in many cases just aren't true.
Just more honest to say "I'm old/conservative, and don't like change" - even if it is to quieter/more efficient vehicles.
That's OK. nobody forcing anybody to buy an EV ( and TBH, even when I get a EV car, will still keep the wee beasty bike that makes a lot of noise for summer rides).
But just like you can't buy a new Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon, and even sedans in general are an endangered species, things change.
Over a hundred years after ICE vehicles became practical, there are still people who ride horses for recreation today. I suspect even in 100 years time in a self driving all electric world, will still be the odd person tinkering in the shed and firing up old school petrol powered cars & bikes for a laugh.
