I have a retractable seatbelt stuck. It's in the middle of the back seat in a Ford Mondeo SW, is there a way to get to the mechanism and unjam it!

Make sure the seats are locked fully back as this can sometimes cause seatbelts to jam

It's locked and can't be pulled out.

I have been caught with this problem in a Mondeo and this was the answer

If none of the above work, remove the reel so you can tip it and maybe release it. If that doesn't work, then you have the reel out for dismantling.

Make sure the things level & then pull the belt, or move it around a little while grabbing the belt. Next thing is, get a source of compressed air & blow it around & into the mechanism.
Don't take it apart unless you have given up on it.

Seat was locked back ok.
Have wiggled, jiggled the belt and finally got it to release.
Warrent time.
