Got our local garage to quote on this job, $500. Couldn't believe it :(

na won't be doing that, i've got some spanners i'vehad for a few years just have to blow dust off.
Just asking if i have to worry about air bags!

Not connected to the airbags. Just be careful with the interior trim - take your time removing the trim & look where the clips are etc to save breaking them.

Cheers people, the last time i made a living with spanners hq holdens where new

Would that model not have pretensioners!,dont they work with the srs!just curious!

Assuming the OP is replacing the webbing belt part mounted on the outer not the pretensioner mounted on the tunnel there is no percieved issue.

Yes, it has a pretensioner. No big deal.

As mentioned, make sure you get all the trim off and all the clips etc. I think they used Torx bolt to hold the bottom part in which your spanners won't be able to undo, and have a feeling the screws holding trim on are either philips or T-20 Torx

Thanks unbeatabull i have torx bits, I,m like a magpie with tool and have added some over the years when i see bright shiny bit and bobs
