An Aston Martin spokesman said: ???Despite its compact but neatly-proportioned form, Cygnet is clearly recognisable as an Aston Martin. It demonstrates Aston Martin??

the article says it's "designed to be within reach of the ordinary motorist". Hmmm. No. it's actually designed so Aston Martin has a car that reduces their range's average CO2 output, allowing them to continue tomarket their V8 and V12 models across various markets. Slam this ugly little thing, but it's a matter of survival.

"Look at the EU fleet averages now required for a manufacturer and the decision becomes perfectly clear. Aston Martin simply cannot comply with the directive whilst producing a range consisting purely of V8 and V12 powered petrol engines. If you feel that you must complain, its your Euro MP that you should be speaking to, not the board of Aston Martin."

Yeuk - but the above comment is probably the reason for doing it.
