"My car is faaaast bo, it runs 15s down the strip" "My silvia is a meeeeeeeeeeean drifter" - have you ever tried drifting in it at all! - " Yea mate, nearly went of the cliff (sp!)" - (killed me hearing that, he still can't work out why i was, literally, Rolling On the Floor Laughing) "My skyline is so fast it's not funny" - oh true, mind if i have a look under the hood! - "yeah bro, after i get it from the impound" -(also laughed my ass off).
NEver the less, people, please take care on the road and DO NOT speed. Have recently been a wintess to a serious crash in Wellsford (well, almost wellsford, DOME VALEY, and damn , seeing people like that just isn't pretty, hope everyone recovers though)

Been a witness to such a race once . the jappa boy didn't know that the falcon xc (was a v8 and damn wickedly worked v8) . you should have seen the prelude miles behind the XC :D

Oh look, a V8 vs other forms of engines thread is about to start. A very, very original idea.

My pedal car will smoke your V8.

And also we welcome quotes from meatheads that own prehistoric technology boat anchor powered heavy tanks: "Theres no replacement for displacement" "Get a V8" "you should put a V8 in that" "ambition is a dream with a V8 engine" "riceburner" "my V8 is full sick buttt" "my lugnuts require more torque than your car makes" "I had to much torque to get traction thats the only reason you won"

Cars like the Mclaren MC12-4, Ferrari Italia and SLS AMG!
Or do you mean the old pushrod engines like in the 07 Shelby SSC, which in set a new world record for top speed of 256 mph!
The only thing that beats a V8 is two V8's.
1ollie,
Jan 25, 12:36am
I didint say anything about those cars did i! Anyway take the pushrod shit lump out of that 'half million dollar car with mega $$$ in developement spent to get it there' and put a built street spec RB30DET or 2JZ-GTE in it and do the same speed easy then what you gona say!
1fordluva,

Come on 1ollie thats why guys the world over are doing it! Street spec! Thats a massive term of technology, broadened to cover about gazzilion different build specs isnt it!

classic
.when will holden and ford make something that actually feels fast and handles through a corner.

that must of been a while ago>!>! theres several cars that do over that
quote " Only 30 Veyron Super Sport models are expected to be produced. Interestingly, the 30 cars sold to the public will be electronically limited to ???only??? 258 mph."

In comparison to what! Holden/Ford build a well compromised super sedan for the money, find another sedan with that power, torque, fun factor, reliability and comfort for the same money. I'm not a fan of them, but, a naive point of view from a typical grude holder isn't going to help anyone.
"Street spec RB30", What exactly do you call street spec! If displacement doesn't rule, why not drive an RB20 powered whale! If displacement doesn't win, then a Dihatsu Mira is great, my bike has as much potential as a Ducati 1098R.
Stupid, pointless arguments. The fastest piston engined vehicle, highest power per liter (aside from the 42,000rpm Rossi 2 stroke) is a "dirty pushrod motor" OHC are as old as push rods, 4 valves per cyl are nearly as old as sleeve valves, Premier (Of France) made a gear driven OHC motor in 1904, Indian was running 4 valve heads before 1908. Nothing is new, get over the pathetic argument.
honda s2000 makes most power per litre i thought! 177kw N/A 2litre
ct9a,

and how could you say "nothing is new"!
wrong2,
Jan 25, 9:19am
lol at the "street spec"
at 800 hp , the 7.0 liter engine is going to be more reliable than the 3.0 liter engine
hell there wont even be much of a weight saving either with the japanese engines

I told one of my friends mates of the mild working over I planned to do to my Celica, just adding an N/A BEAMS engine to it and such.
"Dude, just drop a rotor in it, it'll be sick!"
Why I would drop an unreliable engine in and butcher a perfectly good Celica when another 3sge would cost a hell of a lot less and be waaaaaay easier to transplant! Oh dear.
foxdonut,
Jan 25, 10:19am
Nope. A V8 holds that record now.

Hey guys, come down, aye :)) I am not trying to start Jappa vs V8 argument.
Almost everybody i know owns a jappa, and some are BRs, hence the quotes.Personally I want a v8 at the moment, but the one i want is a bit out of my reach financially.
cne_merchant,

At least he got something right, aye. Cellica WILL be SICK pretty soon after the transplant :D

Give an example of "new" technology, then go look up a patent for it. There are very few things that are new, hence the dinosaur argument is redundant pleonasm. The S2000 was good, 10 years ago. F1 engines make less power per liter than a top fuel "dinosaur". Pointless arguments really, even my bike makes more power per liter than an S2000, without Vtec and EFi.

And my old Coortina is 89 HP on a good day oh thats at the f/w but nobody looks at the poxy hondas or squidboats apart from the skanks.
