I dont know mcuh, if anything. But correct me if im wrong. Were Godzillas not forced out of Bathurst because even after downgrading the turbo as much as possible for it to put out the least amount of power it could. It was still cleaning up. Im not biased. Its just i dumb arguement mainly between younger and older people. First car was a type r integra, that cleaned up any BRs Rb i raced. Then I got a vr4 legnum which was meh. And now i have a supercharged levin with many other cars in between, and can safely say that RBs are just gay anyway. The man you rearly need to study your motorsport history, every country in the world had there own formula for saloon racing, Group A was formed by the FIA to bring all the countrys in line and to be able to have a world championship ford took advantage of the rules and built the sierra cossy rs 500, nissan also read the rule book fully and created the godzilla. bmw m3 2.5 evo probably took more wins than any other car. Holden didnt read the rules to well in the early days and with the 308 had to have a weight penalty, hence the adoption of the 304 to keep the engine under 5 litres and lighter. the skylines werent BANNED group A championship fell over due to costs of having events world wide, countrys then set up there rules to suit there racing and cars available aussie the v8s NZ 2 litre group s etc etc.

The man I have been following aussie motorsport since the group C days especially Jim Richards progress so rearly got to know whats going on. The turbos on the squidies (Note turbos) were as homologated by the fia the only difference was that they were fitted with a pop off valve fitted in the inlet plenum, a fresh pop off valve was supplied by CAMS for each meeting to avoid wear and tampering.
