it would have had legal tyres on a wof so what ever happened . like quick burnout and a tyre will be bald in no time tyre could have been swapped after wof etc all possibile.

why the hell would anybody buy a car from a card yard with 2mm and worn out tyres, if I was buying a car 1 thing I would look at is the tyres, not the badge or colour of the car, so something here sounds real dodgy like the block who just brought the car, he must of known the tyres were ok no car yard would send a car in for a wof with stuffed tyres, hes doing a wind up, and wants someone to pay for 4 tyre not 2, come on dude get a life and go back to the skateboard ramp on your scooter, this whole story is a laugh.

horsepower7,

horsepower7,
Dec 21, 9:36am
yea theres no way our yard would send a car out with tyres so bad that anyone can see it! so not proffessional. this guy sounds lost as!

Hehe.when you quote someone you have to say word for word.no one says when asked "he was busy" like they are talking about someone else instead of themselves.

Well which is it, dodgy or not! Wind-up waste of time thread I bet.

rubbish, as an ex tyre fitter, i have regularly replaced tyres on police cars with the wire coming through. I love the cops and the work they do, but if we modeled our vehicle maintenance on their example, the road toll would be in the thousands!

I disagree imho, my mate who works down the south island often replace cop car tyres with less than 1.5mm tread. As for tread depth its more a personal preference thing

Did you send it faster than the speed of light so it arrives before they ceased to exist 3 years ago! Postage must have cost a bomb!
a.woodrow,
Dec 22, 3:45am
that may be the case - but their policy is 3mm. when they came into our workshop at that they were replaced - obviously if they have 4mm, then don't come back in they are going to be running on not much.
a.woodrow,
Dec 22, 3:47am
Perhaps would be more accurate to say their policy is replace at 3mm. obviously there are many cases where a vehicle hasn't been recently inspected and the tyres may be worn more
beblowin,
Dec 22, 5:36am
your word against the inspector and car yard, guess whos going to loose ! you.
beblowin,
Dec 22, 5:41am
hahahes clueless as to where to send it.
beblowin,
Dec 22, 5:51am
so someone stole your tyres after you had a wof!
darryl,

He did 'front up' and admitted his mistake.
Sounds like your idea of 'fronting up' is paying for your tyres. If he'd failed you on the tyres - you would still have had to buy tyres.
