Hey troggy 1) go get a wof and wright in saying what you have said to us . Heck theres no harm in trying 2) actually there IS a wof reminder service provided by wairakere testing station

It's worth a crack writing a snivelly letter to save yourself some $$$. Be sure to mention the wife's cancer which, although in remmission, has left her extremely weak (hence the swimming) and the 6 kids you are trying to support on on minimum wage stacking the shelves at Pak'n'Slave due to your previous position being made redundant.

death trap lol I had one car with only one wof in 20 years
a wof does not make a car safe
the driver is responsible to make sure car is in good condition

Hey, if it doesn't have that sticker it cannot be safe! That sticker is like a force field protecting you from danger.

Ahhh.so that's how it works.

some people face up to their mistakes others cry / bleat like a baby and always blame " the other guy" end of.

well that's a nice little story I'm sure. Was there any actual point to it, or you just bored and posting to pass the time!
If by some chance your post was aimed at Trog's original post, then I suggest you seriously lack comprehension skills. You may need to go back to school.

They kicked him out last time. He didn't even manage to complete the last sentence in that post.

EVERYONE has missed the point! " My wife came back." It's she who got the ticket, it's her problem. (Edited to say) "LOL"

I got a fine for no rego, was out by 2days, asked cop if I get a rego if I can get off if I get one tomorrow, he replied you get 28 days grace to get one if fined within a reasonable time of it expiring, so did that and got off it. Op id say you're out of luck being expired for this long.

I got stung $200 for an out of date WoF at West Wave a couple of years back.Tried to write a letter as it was a genuine mistake, but sadly no.Sucked it up and paid it.It IS easy to miss if you have a busy life.

That is purely discretionary.

There are some weird posts on here. Unfortunately, we all make slips such as Trog's now and again, especially when you may be running several vehicles as several of us are. Regardless of where the sticker is placed (mine is bottom left of screen, well out of my direct line of vision) I doubt that anyone on here checks their sticker every time they get into the vehicle.
I got a ticket for "not displaying a current WoF" on a brand new vehicle, top right of screen away from the kerb, less than six months old, because the dimwit couldn't see it.When I checked the sticker, although it said 2011 (this was 2010), it hadn't been punched! Surely if you are a regular user of motor vehicles and have a proven record of continuous WoFs and make an oversight, some leniency is called for! I get rather fed up of reading in the papers about people involved in serious crashes who are disqualified drivers or have umpteen drink driving convictions, so lets get this in perspective.Knowing Trog as a law abiding citizen, he is highly unlikely to be running a dangerous vehicle, so yes, by all means you write a letter in and point out that it was an oversight.
The person who has never made a mistake has never done anything.
There are some very uncharitable people on here these days.

VTNZ (I know, some of you don't like them!) always send reminders about WOF and REGO expiry.WE get them for both our cars.

Thats a heck of a weird post- I'm told he dabbles in some highly illegal substances--Like air at 60km/h in a 50km/h zone on a treddlie.
tonyrockyhorror,
Jan 4, 6:26am
Yep, right up until the expiry date without any maintenance whatsoever! You don't even need to look at any strange noises or tyre wear regardless of what mileage you might do in that timeframe. No Siree! Good for at least 6 months without so much as glancing at a single thing.

I do, but my wife doesn't. We have two vehicles between us, and every time I get near them, I check the licence labels, and I check wof stickers when I hop in the car. It's just a habit I've got. Seatbelt on, check mirrors, check wof and service stickers.
