Lol.your a crack-up desmo but I do believe the correct pronunciation is 'bestest, bestest friend' ;)

peacebird15, Jan 10, 8:34pm
I quite like the gravel roads on sportsbikes. would be nice to have a knobby front when things get exciting though. Its all about the carving.

i-n-horz, Jan 10, 8:36pm
Like offrd1 was say'n if you like the Mot valley twisties you'll love Takaka Hill.the fastest I've seen that hill crossed was by a fellow rider on an HD Mark Pahl and one of the other blokes was riding a Trump Daytona a competent rider too but couldn't take the HD.me! while I was half way down they had drunk a few rounds at the local already.lol.

offrd1, Jan 10, 9:05pm
Nice bit of road the hill, went for a ride up there last night at 11pm for something to do,bloody nice night, had a couple of Heine's at Bobs look out and come home.love night riding .lol.

i-n-horz, Jan 11, 7:22am
Your a good keen man offrd1.it's obvious you have a 2 wheeled addiction run'n through your veins.don't mind night ride'n myself has a mystique about it no matter how often the route is traveled.you know even wet weather can be enjoyable especially in a group, throw'n the wet weathers over the pub fireguard rail warm'n up over a brew only to head back out to do it all again.we're a weird bunch to say the least ;)

richard198, Jan 11, 7:40am
You'd love the Rusty Nuts 1000m challenge then!
Have you done it! I haven't (I'd fall asleep!) but some of my mates have, who of course treated it like a race!

desmodave, Jan 11, 8:30am
I hope trog dont mind you steeping on his toes.Just had an offer from a friend to take my kids for awhile so looks like i will be able to get a ride in

i-n-horz, Jan 11, 9:49am
Ya lucky son of'a gun.I wonder if I could roll the bike out the drive without the rug-rats noticing.lol.with 14 eyeballs scope'n the yard I'd doubt an escape is possible ;)

sifty, Jan 11, 10:12am
sheesh, you either have many kids or live near a nuclear power plant.

i-n-horz, Jan 11, 10:50am
You know the answer to that one sifty.lol.nuclear power isn't as dangerous as you think ;)

Buy one in good condition privately and it will retain its value, minus some depreciation for the miles you've added. I bought a '98 1200cc sportster which had done 40,000kms about 5 years ago for 9 grand, kept it for 2 years, did 10,000 troublefree kms, sold it for $8500. Replaced it with a 2 year old 1584cc Lowrider in as new condition for 19 grand, beautiful bike, mileage is now 20,000kms (8500km when II bought it), all I've done is a couple new tyres and oil changes as the thing is basically maintenance free what with the electronic fuel injection and belt drive. I'd never sell it, but after owning it for 3 years it'sstill worth 17-18 grand which is way less depreciation than other vehicles I've owned.

i-n-horz, Jan 11, 11:00pm
That there undoubtedly answers the OP question.good stuff greenwing.

iginoi, Jan 12, 9:00pm
I have a feeling your customer was talking about a Keeway, unsure why you think Hog frames are made in Indo! Anyway, I didn't buy mine because I wanted to worry about depreciation, I bought it because I COULD. I normally trade up every couple of years, so no mine don't lose their value.
1340's (80") aren't modern, stockers are coming out with 103" hearts now, while Screamin Eagle's 110". Lol "modern 1340's"

iginoi, Jan 12, 9:10pm
Lol should read 'He dislikes most of it apart from how HE looks on it'!

iginoi, Jan 12, 9:28pm
The later model Speed Triples are a bit more upright than the Italian. Twin disc, low centre of gravity, single-sided swing-arm all for under 20K brand spankin'. Oh, not to mention the sound they make at WOT, especially with Arrow cans

bounce16, Jan 13, 9:26am
Yep, love my 2009!You can pick a late model 2nd hand one for around the 10k mark.

Aint nothingtouch them on NHRApro stock bikechamps3 years running .

sr2, Aug 10, 1:14pm
The new NHRApro stock bike rules may change things. Up untill now 4 cyl bikes have only been allowed 2 valves per cylinder and had to run carbs!
