If your motor is out again (on the ground) once the torque converter is all the way in the gearbox and the gearbox is bolted on and if its done right you should be able to turn the crank by hand if not try again. please keep us updated as im very keen to help sort this one out cheers.

unbeatabull, Jan 25, 11:43pm
Hope you haven't stuffed the Torque Converter, pump, etc. They should just pull out.

Watch the video again.

Does the Torque converter turn as easy as the one shown!
If not, serious issues inside the front pump of the trans at least.

johdoe, Jan 26, 1:04am
it turns real easyjust wont come out

modie61, Jan 26, 1:11am
Is the torque converter on the motor or in the trans !

johdoe, Jan 26, 1:23am
in the trans

modie61, Jan 26, 1:26am
Should just lift up a little and pull forward at the same time, its heavy so it needs a little lift cause it tends to droop.

johdoe, Jan 26, 1:28am
done that just wont come out

modie61, Jan 26, 1:30am
Can you get a pry bar behind it !

johdoe, Jan 26, 1:31am
done that 2

Take the Auto to a trans shop and get their opinion.

johdoe, Jan 26, 1:37am

thunderbolt, Jan 26, 1:54am
Should pull out.

See the cutouts in the round tube that slots into the trans (picture in link),
they slide into two "tangs" in the pump.
This drives the oil pump for the auto.
If they were not lined up when you cranked the bell housing bolts up, the pump may be damaged.
If it was at an angle, the force may have jammed the TC shaft into the pump, making it hard to remove.
Again, take it to a Trans shop for further advice.
You need to see what has happened in there.

Hi mate any up date!

thunderbolt, Feb 11, 4:49am
I wonder if this was ever sorted.
Be nice if we got updates after all the free advice.

It should be mandatory on these asking for help threads, instead they turn into unfinished novels with no ending.
