assume the green in your sig is homegrown and the toxic is your idea of a heavy hit, best you go back and light another

Thats the problem, we got this far on narrow band ran out of info an now the heavy fast throttle parts have to utilize a acceleration enrichment program. Altho light throttle takes it to red line pure an bliss with feather lite sensitivity,, Stopped tuning for now,no info but bought it home before blow up

First time i,ll say this,,, Ford new colourstoxicgreen,,citric yello.Think outside the square you mite get ten possibilties for one thing yr told, likei was toldVE cant be changed in a 900 degrees cylinder, i hit the 900 as soon as i was told that.got no limits

You still have my interest mate but I smell a conspiracy theory coming on. Having your ???VE changing??? Guru tell you ???1; no one will listen??? should have rung some alarm bells in your head! That aside, I??

I have just one simple request, an update in a month or so time to let us all know how many pieces the engine is in. some of what you are claiming is simply against the rules of metalurgy, if you are cooling cylinders so much all tolerances will have changed, how have you counteracted this! or has your laptop cowboy sorted that too!

toxic seems to have missed the fundamentals of BOOST and AIRFLOW. comparing the "boost" of a T4 turbo versus a tiny IHI vj20 is like comparing a 2 liter to a V8. Compression PSI is meaningless in this conversation as it merely is an indicator of detonation. a correctly tuned cylinder will have about the same "real time" peak cylinder pressure regardless of VE/boost, or temp. the only thing that will change is HOW LONG that peak pressure is maintained for which is dictated by the volume of air fule mixture.(remembering that the flame front travel time is fixed.)

My original thread got lots of crap,,,,like i care,, now getting great results so read an weep , cancel the dyno

I would love to know how you avoid metal contact for 1.5 meters AWAY from the engine. Thats about 1/3to 1/2 the length of the average small car.
toxicgreen.,
Apr 18, 7:56pm
Flame front travell times not fixed extreme rich burns at 1 speed lean burns at another speed, I been all around the house with my numbers & i said earlier i had T4 ,9 psi gave me 225, then i got reinspired after last dud dyno added to cylinder cooling now T4 ,7 psi gives 225 in cylinder .Boost Preasure and air volume are not locked equasions if you change cylinder 900 degs figure

Hit the nail on the head,,i did have to change viscosity of oil to sort
toxicgreen.,
Apr 18, 8:05pm
Geez wayne if i gave that away readers would loose trac of how to keep throwin crap,, But its here now its real and the readers have driven me to sort it outside auto trade, workin now ,, ah bliss
xacoon,
Apr 18, 8:08pm
so can we expect to hear from you in 5000km time still gloating! different viscosity is like a bandaid on a broken leg, or is there some other metalurgical brilliance that your computer man has installed via laptop! I am usually the first to applaud ingenuity, but. I smell fish, and I had steak for tea.

can i ask how much timing you run, also i know you cant measure actual afr's as you said your setup doesnt include a wideband but what afrs are youtargeting! thanks

I think you are struggling to describe here is Boyles Law. (At the risk of sounding like a MB spelling Nazi "equasions" reads so much easier if you replace the s with a t).

Apr 18, 8:27pm
Got as far as we cauld on narrow band, even found if we put timing out by two degs, conentrating on one tuning box we lost all 02 info cause flame half went to town in the manifold,,Sensitive line wen on narrow band,Hydrocarbons sent it usless,,i,ll check my current tune tomorro an give you some timing data Timing has always been adjusted after fuel setting box by box
toxicgreen.,
Apr 18, 8:31pm
Bang on thats the word Boyles Law. Hot cycle, cold cycle, get the 2 issues spread as far as you can and intake is massive an cool expansion is same heat wave, just got a bigger productivuty

114 kilowats is just useless, A turbo engine isoff boost ,a low compression motor with small fuel requirements that pass certain emmssion regulations, on boost its a larger capacity motor but can still not exceed fuel stabilty guidelines ,A NA motor just runs the non changing high comppressionat all times and cantshow as low emmsions as a turbo all petrol motors areset these days at 205 psi =10.8:1 at max, then it dont matter wat country or low grade gas it runs into(no lower than 90 octane) an the motor wont detonate, and it will pass warrenty period

Sorry but I dont see how someone with limited tuning experience, that has someone with no tuning experience helping, half the needed items/monitoring equipment to do a basic tune and all the biggest claims in the world yet no proper results is going to get anywhere let alone get anyone to take them seriously! So its time to go tell NZEFI, RE Sinclair, STM, Shred Industries, Dyno Pro, Speedworks, DDT, Infomotive, DTech, Torque Performance, E & H Motors, Beyond performance, Hi-Tech, Lyn Rodgers, GCP, SpeedSource,ST Hi Tech etc etc and other people that there trade is over and to give up because they know nothing, some guy that wont even say what ECU hes running is road tuning and gets better results than they ever will! Sorry if I sound like another sheep but in this case its wise to follow a well used path that does not lead to fucked engines through learning things the hard way. Haha and April fools was a while ago buddy!

Ive never bamboozilled a dyno operator with a broard lot of info , i,v always asked them to "take into account the exhaust is doing a different lot of stuff to gases, burning an reburning ,dont trust any tailpipe readings" One little ask an its swept out the door. I,ve had it perform heaps better, and its performing much more crisply again now at3/4 tuned.

What did you change to/from! This is a laugh, reminds me of the "Evolution of a monster" thread on Kiwibiker.
Why ring Nissan! They are in no way a market leader or performance leader in terms of engine tech.I'd be ringing Honda first, or Ferrari. Or a motorcycle or F1 associate, because I could tell them where I am going wrong. Engines are all about compromise, running the cyl so cold will cause more problems than you have fixed, fuel likes to be hot when burning, but cold when entering the cylinder doesn't it! Either way. Your figures are cute stabs in the wind without proof.

That makes no sense, your 02 sensor is telling you rich or lean, unless the sensor is under around 400 degrees and cannot generate it's own voltage. Have you stuck the o2 sensor in the headlight or something! Or is it 60 inches away!

if your still after some info on what to do with your engine, ring logan at mobile auto care, he pretty much knows everything about those engines. hes built several of them. he had similar issues with putting turbos on them aswell. always ended up being an issue with the exhaust manifold never having the same length pipes per cylinder due to lack of space.

whole thread is mumbly jumbly
look at all the b.s. you are going threw to slightly tune such a weak performer.
good luck using this approach on a actual modified performance vehicle.the costs of labour wastage, petrol not to mention all the sets of sparkplugs you stuffed etc
sounds like you are trying to repeat what the more genius person(laptop guy) is trying to explain to you after reading on the net!
there is alot more to tuning then the compressions hot and cold and thermel efficienty its what goes into the tuning that will determine those factors any way
