Has anyone got the link to complain about a dodgy WOF.
I've had a look on the LTSA site but can't find it.
TIA

Customers should be encouraged to direct any complaints to the inspecting organisation in the first instance. To ensure all written complaints received are investigated, the inspecting organisation must maintain an effective complaint management process, which must meet the following requirements: 1. a clear and concise statement that recognises the positive value of complaints 2. clear and concise instructions to all customers on how to register a complaint. This can be accomplished in several ways, for example: a) a conspicuous notice on the workplace wall, or b) a clear statement on any receipt or invoice issued, or c) a clear statement on the inspecting organisation??

What was dodgy about the WoF!

The horn doesn't even work.
If they can't even get the basics right, what else have they missed!

Why don't you just go back to the tester and mention it.!

The vehicle is now 1000kms away from the issuer

Don't you have a phone! horn is hardly a big item. Maybe in the 1000km travelled since, the fuse blew. Have you checked the fuse!

It could have worked when he pressed it then randomly blew a fuse!Or shorted out somewhere.hardly dodgey

The WOF could be 3 seconds oldand the fuze blows or a wire pops off. Its even possible that the vibes from testing the horn might have been enough to work a wire off. I'm assuming you have repaired the broken horn

I think you should take this all the way to the top mate!

It's not a fuse.

Just fix it, once you have fixed it you can then know what caused it and in turn have some idea if it worked at the station rather than leaping up and down calling them dodgy

What is it that cause horn to not work!

Doesn't mean shit. I've passed a wof on a car once, and when the owner picked it up and drove away, I saw him stopping at a give way sign 30 metres away from our workshop and spotted one of the brake lights out. And yet, they all worked when I checked them earlier in the day.

just read the fine print exwesty, its up to you to keep your car in a warrentable state at all times, just like getting a service done, but some people just dont bother they just complain aboult everything, I bet they will just laugh at your complaint and you will have to fix it any way, so do your self a favour and get it fixed.

agree with above. don't panic op

All you are going to achieve by complaining is a revoked WOF, just fix the horn and the way you go! Just because you brought a lemon does not mean the WOF place will give you a refund on your car.

Sounds like buyer remorse, don't try and wreck some poor bugger's business because of it.

You did 1000km in 3 days, wow, thats excessive man, better get a new wof done, who knows what else could have failed after a thrashing like that. But if you want, ring the wof inspector that did it, he may offer to fix it for you if you are unhappy. You might have to take it back to him though.

Quite frankly, you would be wasting your time complaining about this. They are interested in complaints like structural problems and the like, that can be proven to be faulty at time of WOF. A horn that doesn't work 1000k's later is simply a waste of yours and their time.
