Manner.! Received ticket for this from parking enforcement today for 200 dollars! Car has clearly displayed warrant and registration, anyone know exactly whatbthis means. Am I correct it is reg bottom left and WoF top right!

andrea_w, Apr 23, 6:19pm
Is your window wiper covering part of the licence label!
Not sure if that can earn you a fine, but maybe if the "enforcer" was in a mood to nit pick .!

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:22pm
No, just looked at photo I took of car, both wipers are centered as they cross over each other, def not in way!

intrade, Apr 23, 6:23pm
disputes tribunal we have to stop them from revanue gatharing and say no.

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:25pm
It seems crazy, 3 other people looked and couldn't see anything wrong. Went straight to council building. They said I had to write a letter as I couldn't speak to anyone, then it just my word against theirs

Here you go: http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/factsheets/49/vehicle-licensing.html
Our parking wardens take pics when they issue the ticket.Obviously if the label was on the car ask the parking people WTF! and ask them to show you the evidence that label not displayed correctly.

jmma, Apr 23, 6:27pm
How is the label affixed!

bluekiwi16, Apr 23, 6:28pm
I hate with the write the letterthing. I think they are hoping we will think it is too hard and we will forget about it. Yep, intrade, justrevenue gathering, asif they don't rip us off with our rates as it is.

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:29pm
Registration in the stick on pocket, warrant stuck on top right.

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:30pm
That link confirms I have it on correctly. 200dollars is worth fighting it, just hate the fact I have write in!

pauldw, Apr 23, 6:31pm
You do have the current label showing and not stuck behind an old one!

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:32pm
Defiantly showing correctly. How do I post a photo!

pebbles61, Apr 23, 6:33pm
Think that's bad, what about motorcycle owners who's regos and WOFs are all over the place! my WOF lives behind my licence plate, so a lazy officer wouldn't see it.

jmma, Apr 23, 6:33pm
Just a thought, is it made out to your car!

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:34pm
Yes it's for my car as I , correctly , received one at same time for not paying the meter. Happy to pay that one.

mm12345, Apr 23, 6:36pm
Just check that the rego number on the ticket is yours. Some people whack the notices under the wipers of cars parked next to them - and I suppose some people just pay without checking.

purple666, Apr 23, 6:37pm
I keep my wof in my wallet so the coppers can't remove it and then say I don't have one.

pauldw, Apr 23, 6:45pm
You could email them your photo. As you're not a senior Police with a label issued after the ticket there should be any problem.

Always put some money in $12 expired meter v's $40 no ticket.

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:47pm
Should have put something in, late for work etc etc.

paysanne, Apr 23, 6:53pm
18/01/2013 is expiry date. Bad photo sorry.

socram, Apr 23, 7:03pm
I had the same problem. (Brand new vehicle. Wof not displayed ) I think either the warden was a dwarf and couldn't see that high or was totally stupid.Whatever the reason, I rang in straightaway and was told to write in.Totally brassed off, but they did cancel it.
If it had been the second WoF, it would have been either bottom left or right and not top right, which is where I prefer it.
For tall drivers, it can create a bad blind spot especially on steeply raked screens in sports cars.

paysanne, Apr 23, 7:05pm
Just re checked, ticket is defiantly my car. Hate it cos it's got me worked up and I have to wait for them to respond to a letter I don't want to write.

smac, Apr 23, 7:06pm
Mine is directly behind the rear vision mirror for exactly that reason, can't see it from the inside.

pauldw, Apr 23, 7:29pm
The whole point of specifying that the wof label had to go "as close as possible to the edge of the windscreen where it is clearly visible from the outside and is not obscured by an anti-glare band or sticker" was so you did see it.

bluekiwi16, Apr 23, 10:14pm
It took them a couple of months to respond to my letter, they had just put the new meters in in PN and I printed a receipt as I didn't trust it. and I was right. lol
