this does amuse me; I've recently purchased a turbocharged car, and every time I have to spend time explaining the reasons why I dont want a pod filter / b.o.v / external wastegate / mags etc I just get these dull glazed looks, and utter confusion (maybe I am too boring when explaining!) My logic was if I wanted more power, I would get a car with a more powerful engine, and leave it alone for longevity - so far so good

You know nothing about BOVs do you. Not only do they make your car go fast, they sound really great and add huge value to your car. But best of all, the part you are missing is the pshh pshh psshhh sound is a babe magnet. They just cant resist it. I feel sorry for you, you must be so lonely. :-(

pffft they add nothing to the value of a car and the sound is lame. And perfomance increase can be debated as they are usually plumbed in incorrectly by dropkicks that don't know what they are doing.

Actually I do know EXACTLY what a blowoff valve does, and I am perfectly content to leave the nice quiet factory pressure relief valve on my car, I dont need that goddamned annoying noise every time I change gear. I had all that silly shit years ago when I did a turbo cefiro conversion, and I kid you not, I was over it VERY quickly. Why acuse me of knowing nothing about them when you say you want to install one on a non turbo car! Whilst I am reasonably stupid, you sir, are a complete fuckwit!

You dont need to be a mechanic to understand why it wont work for you. Answer this you tool, where exactly will your naturally aspirated engine get the positive pressure required in order for the valve to make its dumbass noise! Short of being a complete clown and putting a pressurised gas cylinder with a solenoid actuated off of the clutch pedal, it probably ain't gonna work.

If we know nothing and you know everything, why ask how to install a blowoff valve! especially on a nonturbo car. Lets flip the tables, YOU explain how it works please! make an effort too if you could.
