lol yeah all Holdens where rubbish engine wise anyhow never last long my 2.0L Cortina use to blow the 202 for dead but there is one Holden even though its heart is differant is the VL (RB20/30) and to the little kids that have subaru's well yeah they fairly quick but you will be out cold on the side of the road one day lol

When you get to high hp levels it's just a body and engine and the speed is in the guy that built it. The prelude I have isn't even a prelude, it's a honda body shell with tein shocks and springs with adjustable everything, a vaguely honda motor with aftermarket manifolds and crap all over it with a big blowdrier set to medium, aftermarket diff, seats, custom cage, gauges, sensors etc etc etc
It wastes plenty on the track straight or twisty, put enough money into anything and it can be fast. I could make a volvo station wagon with 800hp if I wanted then what! Volvos are the best cars on earth cause someone built a fast one! Cars are what you make them and do with them.

How about we talk Street-legal aye seeing how it did start out as a thread about road cars. Fastest street-legal Coon would be in the 8's maybe!. fastest street-legal Vette Belongs to Rod Saboury in USA. 6.9sec 1/4 on street tyres powered by a twin turbo'd smallblock chev! Worlds fastest pump-gas car is also powered by a twin turbo'd Chev. Where are all the Fords with Ford power in the PSCA (Pro Street Car Association) or WPSCS (World Pro Street Car Shootout) series!. there are only a handful & none are at the pointy end of the field. all are Chev or Dodge/Mopar powered. WHY!, because they are a crap engine! Go to any drag meeting & see how many Ford powered cars are running at the top of the field, check National records for how many are held by a Ford powered car, very few. ever!

Also the worlds fastest LS1 powered Commodore ran 7.01 @ 190 with an automatic trans (not a Lenco/Liberty type trans) about 5yrs ago. Please show me a Falcon with it's original configured engine that has run close to that.

I cant watch Youtube but I would say the Falcon you speak of would've belonged to Brett Stevens, but alas. sorry to pop your bubble nave, but apart from him being stripped of all his records, all vehicles & accessories sold by the Federal Police at auction & now being in prison for a VERY long time on multiple drug charges (supply & manufacturing. Proceeds used to fund his dragracing team.), that time has been blown well out of the water now by. dare I say it, a MONARO belonging to John Zappia at 5.830 I think. All those cars are powered by BAE engines anyway, not Ford or Chev really, they are basically a Top Alcohol Funnycar engine. And as for your Mustang. not street-legal sorry. Saboury's Vette runs around on the street & makes all it's passes on a DOT approved street-legal tyre.
