Well said . Yeap those clowns who refuse to let you pass when they dawdle along in Lala land are the biggest safety hazard on our roads , At least I can usually dispatch them with a sharp stomp on the go pedal but I do feel sorry for you poor buggers in trucks who everybody loves too hate .

flack88, Jun 30, 5:47pm
No they do about 87 on the centreline, then soon as the passing lane arrives slipper goes down ,then at the end they drop back to 87,but they never break the law !

lpggas, Jun 30, 6:08pm
Yes & unfortunately they seem to breed like rabbits . And anybody who dares to voice there frustrations with such clowns gets branded a speed obsessed hooligan by all the other sheep

hornnett, Jun 30, 9:37pm
Well in all fairness they did warn drivers over long weekends that the tolerance level would drop. But as you seem to think that only apply s to others as you are special. As in special needs.
And yes i do speed but use my brain when and where to do it,you should try it.

hornnett, Jun 30, 9:44pm
And you got all that information from my comment!Oh sorry i see you are a truck driver my be I should type slower.

pollymay, Jun 30, 11:48pm
hornnett must be one of those people who gets in the way of my bullbars all the time. Get sick of wiping those pesky corollas off my front grill to

agree, we did a round trip Aucks-Tauranga-Roto- Aucks yesterday & couldnt believe how many ppl wont do 100kph on a clear straight road or can't sit at a steady speed, many either hugging the centre line at 85 or updown - updown between 80 & 110 while touching the brakes at every bump, oncoming car or anything that remotely ressembles a corner or curve. It gets even worse when passing lanes are involved because these lack of control & confidence aficionado then decide speed limits are now null & void, safety is now a myth & anyone trying to pass is an insult to their very being (these disappear as soon as the passing lane ends & resume normal poor driving behaviours). Luckily we were in the missus' VR6 & when we passed got flashing headlights, the fingers & other various gestures as well as tailgating for a few hundred metres just to 'teach us a lesson' (yes, more safe driving behaviour), but then they feel uncomfortable driving at a 'lunatic' 100kph on such dangerous roads & back off to their preferred 85 or ping-pong 80-100 again.

I think you'll find most are ok with a ticket for breaking the law, as posted my 105-107 (which was confirmed by speedo, GPS & passenger), I would be a bit amused at getting a ticket for such an infringement condisidering many other driving habits out there, but the purpose of my previous comment was that I was ticketed tor 114 (without being able to see proof), which it sounds like becoming more & more a common occurance

bevharris1938, Jul 1, 5:20am
At the end of the day the guy that got caught speeding was rude and arrogant to the police officer, and the guy went away not ticketed.

pauldw, Jul 1, 6:17am
If you saw 105 then looked up at flashing lights the cop must have clocked your speed a short period BEFORE then. Did you see the cop and lift off before checking your speed!

whqqsh, Jul 1, 6:35am
reading my previous post (#18)would probably help.

berg, Jul 1, 6:44am
And these LCD (lowest common denominator) drivers are the very reason NZ has speed limits. Sorry folks but until the general standard of driving improves in NZ nothing is going to change.

lpggas, Jul 1, 6:55am
Yet again a clown who puts words in people's mouths .where did I say that speed limit enforcement should only apply to others and that im special
I made a comment that being ticketed for 105 as i was at the end of a passing lane is against the polices own published guidelines for how they will apply speed enforcement . I was usingmy brain because a passing lane is the safest place to pass .

hornnett, Jul 1, 6:56am
This is what happens when TWO IDIOTS meet on the road.

whqqsh, Jul 1, 7:00am
were you there! another 0 trader here for legit reasons

hornnett, Jul 1, 7:01am
So are you one of those clowns who do 105 all the way along a passing lane with a que of traffic behind you.!

lpggas, Jul 1, 7:16am
So exactly how is whqqsh a idiot . I cant see anything in there post that could imply that. I suggest you go put your v neck cardigan back on before you get a chill .

lookoutas, Jul 1, 7:41am
It sez that it only applies to cameras - which as I see it, doesn't apply to any other means.
I got excited too!

The guy on TV was a dork. Best thing to do is nicely ask to see their calibration cert, and take it from there. I've got off because the cop said they didn't get their radar locked on, but knew bloody well I was speeding.

It's not on, to get pinged without positive proof, so I wouldn't like getting a ticket due to a speedo reading and their word.

hornnett, Jul 1, 7:48am
One rod with two fish what am I going to do!

hornnett, Jul 1, 7:51am
Wasnt there but hey I have been on this world long enough to recognise an idiot when they post in here.

whqqsh, Jul 1, 8:00am
another 0 trader here for legit reasons. now where have I heard that before

whqqsh, Jul 1, 8:01am
if you see yourself as the rod-holder everyone else thinks more tool than rod in your case

lookoutas, Jul 1, 8:15am
I didn't notice an idiot - you might need to move your mirror.

socram, Jul 1, 8:39am
Exactly. You count the gear changes and listen to the revs and make an educated guess, having recognised the Subby sound. If you were just a casual bystander, not knowing the car or what gear it was in, then your guess would be worth nothing.
If any of you have had the opportunity to drive a Rolls Royce (auto of course) and tried to guess your speed without reference to the speedo, I bet that you'd have been less accurate than driving a hotted Ford Escort or Mini (manual).

hornnett, Jul 1, 9:51am
I am not the only one, was following this clown in a real shiny car with 2 world cup flags playing bloody frankie valli at full blast on his wireless but the strange thing was the cap with LED lighting like WTF.
