They were right pricks when I questioned them about what happened but they had already took the other bidders money before I got back there. Close up is a great idea actully as if anybody can blow this out of proportion they can.

i would never have taken that deposit back untill i had rung my lawyer or got other advise, they screwed you good and proper i would say and should compensate you for the cost and inconvinience of this. GO TO CLOSE UP and make some noise

I'm curious as to what people think the loss is here.

It's a screw up, no doubt about that. But in what way has he been "ripped off"! I guess he could claim ~$10 for the change of ownership.

Its not the question of being ripped off, it it the morals these pricks use. I lost a car I didded on and paid the deposit because I won it. The fact someone else decided they bid more is not my problem, remember these guy's at Turners never miss a trick when people bid, there are camera's all around those places.
