# No reg no wof - told by police "good on ya boys for not drinking and driving now go straight home "

Nothing! I always got done if I was in the wrong ie no wof or reg or pulled up for speeding etc etc.Even got locked in the cells once for nothing! Was asleep in my car at the beach one afternoon,in the passengers side.I had a sober driver who was down at the beach and had the keys, next thing I know about 4 cops{must have been strong cops} drag me out then chucked me in the paddy wagon.Seems while I was asleep he had got into mischief so they just abducted me instead.I woke up in the cells bout 2am hearing him in the cell next to mine asking politely for a drink of water. We got let out of the tauranga cells and had to walk back to the mount beach where the car was with no shoes and my mate with no t-shirt which was confiscated for evidence lol! The ol HQ was still sitting there unlocked and untouched!

far out cant believe #1 got away with weed! i think certain cops are ok with no wof/reg depending how far out they are. #2 that is SO stink totally unacceptable on the cops half! i was living away from home but only in the next suburb and i had to go to the olds to have a shower and pick up a few things i had left in the fridge right, got pulled over coming back to the flat and the cop saw an opened bottle of vodka in the back seat and threatened to take me down to the station for having opened alcohol in the car! i still had the towel on my head from my shower and hadnt done anything wrong!

didnt get pulled over but did call a cop a w.er today. Sitting at the lights beside a cop car & watched 2 cars run a yellow then another 2 run the red while we had the green, I raised my hands to the cop & said 'what are you going to do about that', next set of lights he came alongside & motioned to talk so I wind my passengers window down & he asked what I wanted. I asked if he'd seen the red light runners! He said yeah but it happens everywhere so what can you do! I told him 'no wonder ppl dont follow the road rules when they can run red lights right in front of a cop, God you're a bloody useless w.er' He told me he could arrest me, so I said 'piss off ya w.er', lights went green & I drove off. I dont think Ill be getting of my next few tickets lol

I was in a day dream the other day and drove straight through a red light right in front of a cop. He sat there and watched me. I thought, oops that was dumb. Oh well I deserve this ticket. The cop looked the other way. He wasnt even interested.I guess if they got their quota why bother. Too much work.

A while ago I saw a car with 3 or 4 small kids in the back seat, all unrestrained and running about (imagine kids playing football in the back seat - that's what it looked like).I waved at the police car directly behind it (he couldn't have failed to notice) and gestured towards the car with the "Do something about that will you please" look.He shrugged his shoulders and gave me a "Tell someone who cares" look and went on his merry way.
When I was driving dad's Beetle up from Dunedin to here I was coming in to Kaikura at about 10 pm (6 volts lights all the way!). There was a Police checkpoint and I thought - oh no, no wof, rego I'm bound to be stopped etc. Sure enough the cop stopped me, breath tested me (teetotal so no worries there), looked at the expired wof/rego and let me go.

Funny how they do that, have been in a similar situation, and I did ask the cop, she told me that they do one or the other (wof/reg or drinking) but never both, and happily sent me on my way despite an overdue rego, hard case.

Left the workshop after a row with the boss, jumped into the shop van and gunned it up the road - only to see a cop ahead with his hand up."Shit, I thought, I'm a goner now", but then an idea hit me.I started jumping up and down in the seat, steering with one hand while the other was down my side. When I stopped, before the cop could open his mouth, I jumped out saying "That bloody short-arse apprentice, I've told him a dozen times to put the bloody seat BACK after he's been in the vehicle.Sorry, Officer, I was trying to get the seat back and must have leaned on the gas without realising." All he said was "check the seat before you drive off next time." and I got off, no ticket.I was doing 70-odd in a 50 area.

No rego, warrant, licence, two or three red stickers on the windscreen, I'd consumed a flagon of fortified apple wine and doing twice the speed limit. A new cop I didn't know pulled me over, he was pretty intent on doing me. He radioed in, yakked for a bit and came back and said "I'll let you off this time" and let me continue on my merry way!
Hee hee, I had all those 1980's Nelson cops under control.

I did similar to this a few years back but I wasn't quite as brave as you. It was when the TV campaign was on about signalling at roundabouts, and I followed a cop through two of them, with no signalling from him at all. He then pulled into a parking area to go to a bakery, so I went past, pulled up in a side street, (so he couldn't see my car rego) and walked back, catching him just as he came back to his car. I told him politely what I thought of his example in light of the public education campaign. He looked at me as if he was going to explode, then thought better of it. said "I'll take your comments on board, sir", slammed his door and drove off. I surprise myself that day as I am usually very meek and mild. It just infuriated me to the point I had to say something.

Just got a fine for not speeding by a cop who had his camera pointed at the car in front of me. Had a witness, so complained. I rang the helpline and followed their instructions. Heard nothing for months then got a court fine. Filed a second complaint as I had asked for a court date. Was told I had no evidence the police did not respond to my complaint and I did not specifically ask for one as they had not sent me a record of my online complaint. How do you have evidence they didn't do something! Had to pay a fine for a ticket I didn't earn- did anyone know they don't have to provide evidence if they pull you over! And the cop was abusive- hence my complaint. Might I add- I walk my dog every night where he parks his car to ticket people, so I knew he was there.
