Sounds like a 360LA could be worthwhile over the 318LA Mopar V8, food for thought! The 340 is a rare beast and could be a headache for various parts, the other two are more numerous.

Yep thats the track I might head down I can get a 360 from an importer for $1650.00 ,having said that a local bloke here in Oamaru has just done up a late 1950s poly which he had trouble getting parts for but he told me there is no problem getting bits for the later ones like I have and they are inexpensive (theres a bonus),he suggested a rebuild of the old engine fitted with a new four barrel carb and inlet manifold would make a huge difference ,thanks for those links too

later LA engine mounts fit the poly motor, i used them when i did my poly motor, look waaay tidier.
