Well the thing is never trust no one and always make sure your self and 100$ spent on a mechanic who checks a potential vehicle over is usually well spent investment, one thing to start off with a car for 1500$ is always to regarded as drivable scrapmetal untill othrwise proofen.

Glad to see OP had a success.I'd guess that the seller has been here before and didn't want to go anywhere near a Court.
