Just saying!

richynuts, Oct 2, 3:46pm
Rather watch paint dry

yogibearz, Oct 2, 3:49pm
count me in, richynuts can watch the paint on his own.

stockyz, Oct 2, 3:55pm
i like the retro paint jobs on djr and fpr cars for this year.

1ollie, Oct 2, 4:28pm
Meh. much better things on in the weekend than watching boat motor powered taxis racing around!
There is the NAC NZ Drift Nationals on at Hampton Downs for some real exciting action and for decent racing with awesome cars theres the IRC Race series R1 and the NZ Superlap Series R2 happening at Manfield!

greta29, Oct 2, 4:31pm
GO HOLDEN LOL

1ollie, Oct 2, 4:34pm
Ohhh but in saying that next year I may be interested in watching since they are letting at least one decent manufacturer in there being Nissan! and one that is almost as good being Mercedes lol

gammelvind, Oct 2, 4:38pm
With you here, been an only ok race since it went 2 marques.

1ollie, Oct 2, 4:41pm
Never going to be as exciting and good to watch as it was in the 1985-92 sort of era but should make it a bit better than the last 20 years odd years finally!

rob_man, Oct 2, 4:51pm
True, I used to live for it then. Now I can take it or leave it, mostly I leave it and take the dogs for a walk somewhere.

gammelvind, Oct 2, 4:53pm
I agree but can't see that happening again. Jags stalling on the front line lol.

purple666, Oct 2, 4:56pm
I don't bother making a day of it anymore, cars all look the same and you can't tell who is who as every car (bar 1 or 2) are so covered with adverts you can't even see their numbers. God I miss those old all day Bathurst parties.

rob_man, Oct 2, 5:01pm
Almost worth replaying some of them just for a party eh!

gunhand, Oct 2, 5:05pm
all they need to do is introduce WRXs and EVOs and they double there audiance, And wouldnt that be interesting!

petermcg, Oct 2, 5:06pm
I loved the camaro years

rob_man, Oct 2, 5:07pm
I wonder how suitable they would be in an endurance race.

ryanm2, Oct 2, 5:09pm
I used to find the Ford Sierra's dominating bloody boring, then the GTR's. However watching those little BMW's fight with the much larger cars was always pretty cool.

gunhand, Oct 2, 5:09pm
I think we liked those years as the cars were not that far away from what you could actaully buy. These days you'd be lucky if the badge is even the same.

gunhand, Oct 2, 5:11pm
Awwww I dont know, they seem to just keep going for the types who own them LOL

purple666, Oct 2, 5:12pm
Hehee yeah for sure, have watched a bit of old Bathurst racing of late, you can pick out all the cars at a glance, nice big numbers on them too.

splinter67, Oct 2, 5:12pm
they would be as much use as a rotor there are races for other cars at bathurst but they don't get the interest that v8s do because they are boring

gammelvind, Oct 2, 5:13pm
Not great fan of those cars but it would be cool to have them in the mix, chuck in some bmwers, a porche or two.
The pace car could be a multipla and everyone would be happy lol.

gunhand, Oct 2, 5:14pm
Yip, got boring when you had to try and work out if it was an H or F.They all look the same today and if in a pack its worse. Not to mention all the colours and graphics just make it an eye sore lol.or am I getting old.

splinter67, Oct 2, 5:16pm
If you have to ask then you already know the answer

gunhand, Oct 2, 5:20pm
True, but ya gotta define old LOL, a 40yo is old to a 18yo and 90 is old to 40yo.
