Totally, if anything NZ is a less harsh environment for cars than other countries that have longer intervals (if they have regular inspections at all) and drive far greater distances on average than we do.

Yes, just make people accountable if they have a defect car like they do in other parts of the world.

i agree yes and no with the current system the cops look to see a wof then let you go, but if we change do our law enforcement officers who could be catching burglars and rapists have to do a full raodside inspection to see if it is legal

Yes and no, I think the focus should be emphasised on educating the importance of scheduled maintenance, those who currently service their vehicles routinely then yes, those who never service their vehicle then no, but generally speaking that percentage of vehicles not getting regularly serviced are and will be putting lives at risk so no, gez some can??

now logic. a current service sticker could also be a wof and for those D.I,Y.Sout there a wof every 12 months would be logical

robotix1970,

they should make it every three months for boy racers or people with drink driving convictions and if they fail then it gets crushed by judith colins to teach them a lesson (yes i hate drunk drivers) but for vintage or veteran vehicles (cars) make it yearly
yes and none for veteran and vintage. I will not let a garage person drive my v&v cars
