Yes I agree here , I dont want to get WOF's every 6 month for $50, but I have always said that the Police are doing the job now, your WOF does not mean any thing, they are doing road side checks, so let them do it, we dont want them chasing burglers and druggies, that only makes our county safer,,, we want them ripping up everybodys car and putting them of the road with green stickers pink stickers and hell why not get some purple stickers as well,,,,, the lackies in there falcon wagons that are lowered and they cant see over the steering wheel arent actually crashing or causing any problems,,, they dont have a WOF,,, Its the modern fast cars that crash with young people . old people,, tourists,,, Ive finished now,,

Keep your wallets handy all of you 'personally responsible' boys and girls, if these jumped up little unsworn wannabe policeman little hitlers that the gov't WILL contract don't find something wrong on your vehicle at a random roadside WOF like inspection on what 'you believe' to be an up to speed vehicle, then rest assured they will look a little harder until they do find something wrong, because you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be a 'performance' clause or two in the contract.
If any one of you believe for one second that the gov't is looking at change to save you forty bucks a year, then you are deluding yourself.
And you wanna know something else. Like everything else the target will be those whom they believe will have the wherewithal to pay the fines, no point fining the down and outs is there eh ! . which leaves all of the clapped out heaps running up and down the countries roads while all of the rest of us fund the new contractors and gov't coffers !

In NSW when rego was $600 per year the fine for an unregistered vehicle was $600 uninsured vehicle $600, Number plates calculated to decieve was a fraud charge same for faked rego label so $1200 and potentially 6 months slot time for driving an unregoed bomb on bodgy plates dont pay your fines a warrant for arrest is issued and cut your fines out at $50 per day, or pay cash on the spot. Its not like the soft system in use here.
