Never seen a 6 slr but seen several poverty pack 6 seaters with tree shift

ofive, Oct 26, 4:56pm
Thousands, yer yer talk ya way out of the bs.
I have seen a few in welly over the years and many in aussie on ebay over the years as have others in this thread. So yes they were sold, and many. I even owned a LH or LX G Pac torana. Its 'basically' a SLR3300.
Just because you havnt seen one doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

chebry, Oct 26, 6:55pm
I grew up around a GM dealership I never saw these new, Gpak and Upak are NOT SLRs

chebry, Oct 26, 7:04pm
A know it all like you should be able to rake up production numbers seeing something missadvertised on Ebay isnt seeing the real thing and G pak & U pak are NOT SLRs.

hahaha chebry. Give up already. Go talk about flowers or mowing lawns or something. You are 100% wrong in every way.

There was a six cylinder one on here a few years back.I remember thinking at the time it was BS, so checked and it was a genuine option (according to google at least)!

extrayda, Oct 27, 5:40am
There were also six cylinder XA Fairmonts, and I think also six cylinder Holden Premiers.Just not many of them.Never a six cylinder Falcon GT though :-)(proper one at least)

lumpster, Oct 27, 5:41am
Ok people all I wanted to know was haw much my car was worth in todays market

ofive, Oct 27, 6:25am
If you want your question answered without bs you need to post pictures showing condition inside and out as its impossible to guess a price without seeing it not matter how you describe it.

chebry, Oct 27, 7:01am
There were 6 cylinder Statesmans also you keyboard warriors know nothging about the options system at GMH in the 70s you could order anything you liked any powertrain combination in any body shell but that did not make them official models. NZ had set models and set powertrains for local assembly there was no such thing in OZ, over there youordered what you wanted with a 6 cylinder engine being the base model so #5 seeing something on ebay isnt proof. All OZ cars came with 6 cylinder engine options and were by far the most common There, not here, NZs market was always different we had no drum braked Holdens from the HR onwards but aussie did front drums on HQs are normal there. You goobers need to climb out from under your key boards and check reality now and then.

I'm still in the process of rebuilding but all suspension striped painted and rebuilt engine bay sprayed (looking like glass) engine bay in loomles and battery in boot so bay looks real clean. All panel beating done apart from some small areas, all back to steal and apoxied so the body will be super straight (it was straight when I started) the interior is all original and very tidy with no rips or tears.I've been In the panel & paint trade for 27 years so it will be nice when it's finished.

chebry, Oct 27, 7:07am
Put it back to original dump the falcon diff and its worth good money in OZ

ofive, Oct 27, 7:15am
In the panel trade for 27 years and you feel the need to ask a bunch of randoms on an internet forum the value of a rare car!
You are just as bad as chebry.

lumpster, Oct 27, 7:19am
I got the car without the original running gear most of the work was done in the late 80s early 90s the car has been off the road for around 17years.it would be to hard to try to get back to true original.

lumpster, Oct 27, 7:25am
Sorry ofive I love to read people's opinions and to see where the thred leads to.this one has been a good one.

lazeeboy, Oct 27, 7:32am
I've owned a 6 cylinder SL/R. They do exist.in fact my parents still have the plates and tags for wall ornaments, the car is long gone and rusted to nothing now. As does the 253/308 SL/R variants exist. Something fishy with the OP though.

chebry, Oct 27, 7:35am
OP is full of it yeah Toranas rusted pretty quick but the OP claims his one lost all its running gear and sat in a shed from near new.

This thead brings to mind a quotation from the well known philosopher and mathematician, Bertand Russell, "The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt".

attitudedesignz, Oct 27, 7:46am
I'll admit i was wrong in a previous post where i laughed at the suggestion of a 6 powered SL/R.

BUT op has muddied the water so much that in reality he has nothing of value at all. This is turning into the old story of ya grandfathers axe.

At the end of the day OP you will have nothing except ANOTHER molested Torana.

lumpster, Oct 27, 8:07am
Oh well never mindim still happy with my old girl.

attitudedesignz, Oct 27, 8:08am
Ok, so now you'll stop refering to it as a "SL/R"!

chebry, Oct 27, 8:11am
According to #5 SLRs are as common as Toyotas so not rare at all and this is just another beaten old shell being dressed up so really not worth much at all.

illusion_, Oct 27, 8:16am
could always call it an SLR replica, if you wanted to stretch things a bit

anyway . as you said, you are happy with it, and you have every right to be so. it would be a great car to drive around in. as for what it's really worth . whatever it fetches on the day .*shrug*

lumpster, Oct 27, 8:21am
It's still a SLR made from factory but now not original

attitudedesignz, Oct 27, 8:34am
No "IT'S" NOT a SL/R, it's a molested bitsa Torana with a dubious possible SL/R shell.
